We contacted CertaPro about painting our new, three level, 2200 square foot home. They sent an estimator on January 11, 2016. We voiced our concerns regarding our textured walls and we were assured that their painters were experienced enough to affect the proper coverage necessary for the low spots in the texture. The estimate we received was very fair and we were told that the entire project would take 5-7 days. IT TOOK 4 MONTHS! When only two painters showed up to begin work on February 15th, we immediately questioned, “Why only two?” The lower level was painted without a hitch. The main level, proved to be a disaster! While they did get paint on the walls, there were numerous areas where the low spots in the white texture was very visible. In addition, many of the cut-lines along the ceiling and corners were crooked or rough and we literally spent hours inspecting every inch applying blue tape to the areas that needed work. In addition, we attached notes describing the problem. By this time, one of the painters was terminated because he caused damage to our microwave, our stove-top and to our crown molding. This left one painter to address the deficiencies who recklessly removed our blue tape and notes without adequately fixing the problem. We complained to the owner who met with us on February 29th and assured us that CertaPro would make everything right. For the next few weeks, various painters were in and out of our home through the first week of March until they were done. On March 8th, CertaPro sent their “specialty painter” to perform the faux treatment on our banisters. He failed miserably! We contacted the owner again and voiced our displeasure. Even though the owner wanted to meet with us again, we told him to forget it. By then, we had redone the faux painting ourselves (properly) and we decided to end our association with CertaPro. We contacted the owner and renegotiated the final cost of our project to allow for the work we performed on our own and to compensate ourselves for carpet cleaning. CertaPro did repair our microwave and our stove-top but the repair of our crown molding was abandoned. WE had to source the molding ourselves and we had to arrange for our handyman to do the work. The entire project from start to finish took four months to complete and even though the final product is satisfactory, the anxiety and aggravation that we experienced with CertaPro was exhausting! We continue to find areas that require touch-up but we are addressing those ourselves as we find them. In addition, we continue to find random paint spots and splatters on our floors, furniture and windows which require a lot of patience and elbow grease to remove. Anyone using CertaPro should receive assurances of adequate and competent staffing at the outset. Close supervision and inspection as they work would be critical. This would have prevented our painting nightmare.

We contacted several contractors to bid the painting of our east Parker home, before choosing CertaPro Painters of Denver. Living in the country our home is constantly battered with wind so our paint takes a beating. It had been 8 years since we last painted. When contacting CertaPro the office asked us about our home and found out details that no other contractor has even asked, IMPRESSIVE to say the least. 
Upon arrival of our estimator, she greeted my wife and I and then began to talk to us about what was important to us during our painting project. We have two big dogs, making sure they didn't get out and onto our neighbors property was key. She spoke to us about our home, and the entire time was writing down notes to make sure that she knew our project in and out.  I then went out with her and she walked around the entire outside of our home. She took accurate measurements with a laser and pointed out areas that needed extra attention. 
The proposal was very detailed and every step of the process to paint our home was written out for us to see. When she left she told us that she would contact us in a few days to see if we had any questions, two days later we received a call. We asked her about timing for the project. The next day we receive a phone call from their office and were able to talk with the operations manager about scheduling the project. We were given a choice of a couple of dates and then scheduled the one that fit best into our schedule. An email followed with a confirmation of the start date and some great tips on things that we could do to prepare for our paint crew. 
One week before our painting the production manager called and confirmed our start date, told us who our foreman would be and even provided us with his picture and phone number. 
Two days before our painting our foreman Joshua called us and scheduled a time to arrive at our home. We were impressed that they arrived about 15 minutes early, and Joshua took time to introduce his entire 5 man crew to us. Everyone of them were polite and attentive.
Two days later our home was absolutely beautiful, everything was cleaned up, they even hauled the trash away. We walked around our home with Joshua and he took care of the two touch up areas we found right then. 
Our experience was FANTASTIC, we have recommended them to our neighbor and they are getting their home painted next week. 
CertaPro was excellent and treated our home with respect. The whole process from start to finish was so easy and I would use CertaPro again in a heartbeat. 

We have a very steep backyard with a walkout basement so we hired Certapro to finish painting the upper level of our home. They were very careful to tape everything off before painting and laid tarps around our house. They were very professional and did an excellent job. They cleaned everything up and did not leave any spills or messes.

We did have one area up near the roof that was missed and they were very good about coming back out and completed the job as soon as the weather allowed.. We were very happy with the job they did and will use them to do our interior painting. We highly recommend Certapro Painters of Denver and have been telling all of our friends to be sure to use them because of their professionalism  and resonalble prices..

The painters called 2 days prior to my start date and asked me what time they would like them to arrive in the morning.

That was something I rarely here as I'm usually told by contractors what time they will be there.

They arrived on time and were very professional.  They assured that they would keep the gates closed at all times as I have two little dogs that sometimes like to sneak out. 

They completed my job in the time they estimated. The four guys worked very hard. They protected my deck and detached garage carefully which was a concern of mine. 

They cleaned everything completely and left no trash behind. 

I will definitely use CertaPro for my future projects.

Terrible.  The crew that performed the services did not properly prepare the exterior of our home for the pressure washing and caused damage to the surfaces (i.e. large wood chunks blasted off), shorted out exterior outlets, and left a terrible mess of debris because there was no effort made to catch any of the resulting paint that came off during the cleaning.  

There was very little preparation work done on our siding before painting commenced (05/22).  This resulted in whole chunks of paint falling off of the house within one hour of job 'completion'.  We quickly lost count of the instances of cracked, peeling, and generally unsealed spots that would undoubtedly result in further paint falling off in the near future.  We also quickly lost count of the instances of missed spots and/or large, obvious drips, clear brush strokes, etc.  The crew spilled paint on our deck and concrete, didn't properly paper lines (so there is now excess paint on door jams. fences, metal work and other areas that weren't to be painted) and  they trampled garden plants. They painted plants and rocks and took no care to catch or clean up any debris they created.  There was no re calking, just painting over that resulted in a blobby, amateur look.  There is also bleed over in several spots where trim paint is encroaching on non trim areas and visa versa.   There were spots where the crew began to prepare the wood by sanding but only left rough/raised spots that were then hastily painted over.  The crew rushed through the job and was done by early afternoon 5/24 despite heavy thunderstorms on 05/23 and 05/24 and heavy rainfall on 05/24.

We contacted Certapro within two hours (05/24), after the crew left.  We provided narrative, pictures, and video detailing our issues.  We marked nearly 100 spots with blue painter's tape where issues were present- note that this was not an exhaustive marking, just a sample for demonstrative purposes.  Our home looked like a blue and white polka-dotted mess.  

Certapro toured the job in the days following (05/26) and agreed that the job was done well outside the scope of the contract and well below their standards.  In conversations and writing, they blamed poor estimating/quoting and poor job execution.  We were later told that this was one of their best crews but that there were two individuals on the crew that were fill ins and unknown to the franchise. We were told the job would be redone to match the contract and standards- including the proper preparation work and remediation of the damage to our siding, fences, concrete, and metal work.  On 05/31 we were told that instead of preparing the siding as called for under the contract, extensive re-siding would need to occur or else Certapro would no honor the contracted guaranty.  This was after the company toured the property on 05/26 and affirmed the previous statements/expectations that a 'couple' of siding pieces would need replaced (same thing we were told in the quote, the contract required review of all wood prior to work commencing with communication to us as the the extent of needed repairs, we received no communication prior to this) and the rest could be prepared with some patching and sanding.  After working with the company in good faith to revise the contract, we agreed to pay for extensive re-siding (06/06).  The updated contract also provided for reimbursement of the cost of an electrician that was called to replace the burned out outlets.  The updated contract called for a $500 price increase.

Certapro's crew came back out on 06/08 and 'completed' the rework on 06/10.  If the first go around's job/effort was terrible, the second was abysmal (worse.)  On top of terrible work on the residing (mis-matched boards, lines, large gaps created & filled in with obvious filler that wasn't sanded/smoothed, end pieces secured' by partially driven screws etc.) the crew disregarded scores of blue painter's taped marked spots (including areas where paint had fallen off, exposing wood) and again rushed to get off the site.   There are still extensive issues as noted on 05/24.  It is clear that crew did not have the ability to do the carpentry work that it was required to do and their workmanship reflects that.  

Again, we have contacted Certapro within two hours of the crew leaving the job site.  We have documented the issues via picture and video.  We do not have any intention of inviting them back on our property to do any further work.  Our house went from being one of the nicest on the block (aesthetically speaking) to easily the worst.  It looks like we hired the cheapest possible provider to slap some paint and siding on the home.  Undoubtedly, this is adversely impacted the value of our home materially rather than being something that increased it.

I used CertaPro Painters.  They were here May of 2014.  It cost like a $1000 a little over maybe.  They repaired like a hole in the ceiling and they were very good.

This is the single worst painting experience. After 2 attempts at spraying my exterior doors (3), the doors now have the worst blistering I have ever seen. So, a simple $500 dollar door painting job has turned into a nightmare. The only way to rectify the issue now is to strip all the paint from doors and start over.

My guess as to why the paint blistering is the CertaPro painters sprayed the doors and then before the paint was cured, went over again with another half coat. At the time, seemed like a good idea but after speaking to Sherwin Williams they applied the paint improperly.

Thanks CertaPro for the major headache and ongoing costly expense you cause me!

Young man showed up, was courteous and got to work and did not waist. He completed all of the work we need within the time allotted. My daughter's room was painted pink about 6 months back and regretted it. We hired (another) Angie's List painter to paint a more neutral color. We provided 2 gallons of paint and he used about 1.5 gallons. He provided all the other materials to complete the job including tape to mask off, plastic to protect the bed, paint rollers and brushes, etc. After he was done, he had me review it, and there were a few areas that needed touch up and he touched them up. He then proceeded to my other daughter's room and began to touch up that paint. He cleaned up after himself as well. I'd recommend Certa.

The franchise owner, Phil Wilson, did a detailed examination of our home, took down a few special requests (nothing major) and provided us with a proposal that listed what was included (detached garage, doors, foundation, garage doors, porch ceiling, porch railing, siding, trim/fascia, soffits/overhangs, downspouts and gutters) and the prep work (power wash of the entire house/garage, caulking areas that need to replaced, scraping any loose and peeling paint) to be done as part of the job.The job foreman, Charles Goolsby, met with me and did a walk around of the house. I pointed out a few things that we wanted to have painted to match the house (vents and pipes that had been added since the house was new). The job start was delayed due to weather (completely understandable). The entire job took about 5 days (including the Saturday). The crew was excellent! I cannot speak highly enough of them. Polite, professional, and perfectionists. They cleaned up the site everyday, and at the end of the job.I am very pleased with the results.

They filled in where they could, sanded/scraped off the rest, and it left me wondering why I had waited so long to have it done.  The house looked fantastic.

This was the single worst decision I've ever made. They kept saying they were going to start on x date, wouldn't show up and then call after the fact to say they were delayed. When they actually did the work, there were so many drips that my house looked like it had chicken pox. They painted over a piece of tape on my front door and would not come back to redo it. It took a call to the BBB to get them to do it properly. I would never recommend this company to anyone, will never use them again and count my experience with them as the one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had.

Jaime and his crew did a fantastic job on our place. On time, great work ethic and fantastic quality. I'd highly recommend these guys.

We needed to stay with the same color of paint so they matched the new paint to the original paint. They also scrapped and repaired any areas that showed need. They made sure that nothing was splatter with paint by covering EVERYTHING in paper, plastic and tape. Ay spot that I questioned was taken care of. They wanted me to walk with them around the house to insure that I was happy itch they paint job. When they left all signs of their time at the house was gone. If it hadn't been the house looking like it was newly painted you wouldn't have known they were there. II was also on a time frame and they were able to complete the job in a timely manner.

It was fine. I paid about double of what the "Big Deal" was actually advertised at. They came out and gave an estimate and the estimate was like $500. It was basically like a $250 credit towards the estimate. I do think that the way it was advertised was a little bit misleading. They were able to complete the work in one day, in eight hours so I would have thought that the $250 should have covered that time. That's at least what I was thinking and it ended up being much more expensive. Unfortunately, I had already purchased that $250 deal so I was kind of committed to using them or loose that money. They did a very good job, I was pleased with the work, it just ended up being a little more expensive than I anticipated but the quality was good.
