Denis arrived when he said he would. He helped me clear out the room and pulled up the carpet to diagnose the moisture source. Careful inspection confirmed that it wasn't the likely suspects of pipes or the baseboard radiant heating, but a nearby washing machine whose faucets had started to corrode; some settling in our foundation had made the floor slope just enough to allow the water to get past the drain and seep into the adjacent room. Denis got his plumbing tools out of the truck and replaced the faucets (which he picked up at the nearby Ace Hardware and soldered in), and then counseled me on how to dry out and save the carpet. For an emergency call that took several hours (on New Year's Eve, when pretty much everyone save retail stores are closed), he was an unbelievable bargain. I cannot rate and recommend Casey Construction / Denis Casey highly enough.
