Denis arrived when he said he would. He helped me clear out the room and pulled up the carpet to diagnose the moisture source. Careful inspection confirmed that it wasn't the likely suspects of pipes or the baseboard radiant heating, but a nearby washing machine whose faucets had started to corrode; some settling in our foundation had made the floor slope just enough to allow the water to get past...

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
The night before New Year's Eve, I noticed large wet spots in the carpet in a room near an outdoor hose spigot. I thought surely a pipe had burst in the sudden cold snap, and I was foreboding jackhammers through the floor . . . I searched Angie's List for foundation / plumbing type contractors in my area. To my surprise, Denis Casey answered my call on New Year's Eve. He generously spent about 20 minutes with me on the phone, trying to diagnose the source of the water to determine if it was something I could address myself. He was very knowledgable about construction and code, and pretty much knew exactly how my house was built based on a few diagnostic questions. When the phone consultation did not yield a clear answer, he came out to the house.

Dennis is a very nice, creative guy. He spent a great deal of time with us explaining his ideas for our basement rehab project and how he would do the work. He is very professional and made an effort to fit us into his busy schedule. We were on a tight budget or we would would have selected Dennis for the job.
