They are a local company and I am very happy with them. It is a lot of work but it is worth it and I saved probably a third of the overall cost by doing the demo myself. The whole experience was good, we got to choose the material, which was obviously important, and they gave us brand new materials. I pulled in some competition, also, I saw some TV ads and their price per square foot was significantly lower. One thing I chose them was also because they had extremely current technology and other people that came out were using old school, they didn’t have the same quality and appearance as Carpet Mill. The floors they put in would last for about fifteen to twenty years, maybe even more. The installers that came out were dedicated just to us; it was amazing.

The hardwood floor installation was satisfactory and the installers did have to return a fourth day to finish the floor to my satisfaction. The carpet installation was scheduled through the branch store manager, but according to the installation department it was not scheduled. The first installation crew included the crew leader (possibly an independent sub contractor) and his inebriated assistant. After discussing the situation with the regional installation supervisor they were asked to leave. A different crew leader and the same helper (sober this time) came back five days later and did a minimally satisfactory installation. Some of the seams show clearly and are starting to separate. A large roll of carpet pad was left behind. I was told it would be picked up; three months later it has not been picked up. Carpet Mill is no longer welcome to pick it up. A certified letter to the company president at the corporate office in Texas was returned by the US Postal Service as undeliverable. In seems the corporate headquarters refused to sign for its delivery. In spite of my written request to the Denver regional office I was unable to obtain a copy of my signed finance application. Wells Fargo, the bank handling the one year no interest no payment finance option, did get me a copy of the signed finance application. I now know that had I purchased from Home Depot, Lowes, or several other sources I would have had a superior quality product, quality installation, and a company that cares about its customers. I will never use Carpet Mill again, nor will I ever recommend it to anyone. Carpet Mill, its employees, and subcontractors will never be welcome at my home again.

They are top-notched installers, they use quality materials, and the even the sales lady was very helpful. It was a very pleasant experience.

This was a nightmare. The pergo was late, there were broken pieces and missing pieces. I chose to cancel the carpet installation and Carpet Mill got very nasty about it. They refused to refund the money I had coming back and I had to get activist Tom Martino to get my money back.
