We had a contract that I would pay him $1500 upfront and then another payment two weeks later and then the rest once the job was finished. In a weeks time he came to me and said that he needed more money to purchase the material. He said he had a large crew but only he would show up. A few times he would show up for only 3 to 4 hours. He never finished the job and left my driveway full of tree trimmings.
