Here is the factual story: Anson signed a real estate contract to buy my home, knowing it was tied on contingent to my retirement dream home out of state. He assured me everything would go just fine. right on time, as not to jeopardize my retirement dreams. A few days prior to closing, Anson stopped returning calls, emails and texts and was unreachable to me and the title co. he had chosen for closing. Just hours before closing he finally called back to tell me that he did not have the funds available to buy my home, thus tanking my retirement dream and leaving me twisting in the wind. Anson also claimed to have delivered 1,000.00 " earnest money" to the title co. on my behalf, in case the deal went south. The title co. informed me that Anson had failed to deliver the money as stated and agreed in our contract. In addition to having no earnest money , I also had to rush a quick sale to another buyer and ended up having to sell at 14,000.00 less than Anson had agreed to. Total net loss- 15,000.00. Seniors and others beware.
