After they've done cleaning, they need to test the AC and furnace. None of it was done and after three days I couldn't turn it on. There's a damage on the AC and the motherboard on the furnace were damaged as well. Both are not functioning right. They are making me pay for the extra labor when it isn't my problem. Their own technician told me that 90% of the damaged were done by them.

I was grossly overcharged for a simple repair. The technician was onsite for 30 minutes to replace a common part. I was charged almost $400. I have contacted the company on several occasions and they wont provide an detail on the labor and parts pricing, nor will they offer any relief.

The guy came, he started to fixed the air-condition but he didn't finish and he said that he will come back. And it takes 3weeks for him to come back and he sent someone. And what they did is just cleaning. I paid 1700 for the service. And it took one and a half year to take my money back.

This was the worst repair experience I've ever had. It has been 7 weeks and my washer is still not repaired. They have sent 2 different technicians and ordered multiple parts. The washer wasn't spinning correctly. The most common repair needed for our machine per the Maytag website. Should have been an easy fix. The technicians have broken the washer more than fixed it, They take 2-3 weeks to get any part in (none in stock apparently) and will not give me my money back. I am at the point of taking them to court. It is that BAD!!!

Went badly. Repairman was late, and no call was made to me to let me know. I had already purchased the new part and removed the broken part. Fifteen minutes later and two screws, cost was almost $200.00. No access to speaking with a manager, and the call station hung up on me. DON'T go with them. You will be sorry.

HORRIBLE DO NOT HIRE. FRAUDULENT COMPANY. They charged my credit card without authorization and then when I called to get a refund the Action Appliance service rep hung up on me. ****The only reason they have so many reviews and so many positive reviews is that they give you a DISCOUNT if you leave a positive review. The technician came out and assessed our appliances. He said he would email the contract. I called the next day because I hadn't received anything from him and noticed a charge of almost $800 on my credit card. No work was done on our appliances. They fraudulently charged my credit card without my consent. When I called to ask them to refund, Action's customer service rep said she would send me a contract and she would give me 10% back if I also did a positive google review. I said no and wanted them to refund then she said there was a 25% cancellation fee. I hadn't even seen or signed anything yet. She then said she was too busy to listen and hung up on me. BEWARE, they are predators.

Started out ok. They came out same day, the tech was personable. The experience was poor though. Tech had trouble taking apart the machine. I pointed out screws that needed removing because he couldn't get the front panel off. But, the worst was the repalacement part needed. I called Angies list because I knew the pump went bad. I actually repaired it myself a couple of days before (with a supposedly OEM part off Amazon) but the new part failed quickly. Most of the "labor" was the tech calling the company to order the new part. After an hour of tracking down the part number (because their system was down) he got a hold of a coworker who said he should have a pump on the truck he arrived in (and he did). When I checked back the part was replaced and the machine was working again. However, I hadn't been given an estimate of the repair work which was $350. My choices were to pay or have him take it apart so I paid and followed up with the company the next day. In legal terms this is called a bait and switch I believe. I called the company the next business day because my invoice wasn't delivered electronically as was promised. They sent the invoice the next day and it just said $350 for the job. I know what I paid, but I wanted to know what the itemization was. I called back 3 times to get itemization of the work and was told 2 times they would call me back but no one did. On the last call, I was told they dont itemize because customers prefer that. Um, no. People want to know what they are charged for. On top of bait and switch, now we have zero transparent in what they are charging you for. Lastly, on the 4th call to resolve, it was explained to me that I could have denied the service and had him take the new part out after all that hassle and not paid. They actually said that to me. Listen close.... never use this company. And., shame on Angies list for suggesting them when I reached out. Why? Because the better business bureau rates them as and F too. Shameful all around. I will never use Angie's list or this company again.

WARNING!!! These people take your money and don't perform the service. My 86 year old grandma gave them over $1000 deposit for work it turns out she didn't need (pretty shady if you ask me). She requested a refund 11/23/19 for the work they did not perform minus the service/travel fee. It has now been OVER 2 months since she made the request. We have called them at least 5 times now and they tell us they are sending her refund of over $700 but she still hasn't received it. Pretty lame that they would treat the elderly who are on fixed incomes this way. This unresolved situation seems like senior fraud to me.

Very badly. The tech came to my home and evaluated the system. He told me that the compressor motor on the A/C unit was seized and beyond repair. He also told me that both my A/C unit and furnace were beyond their useful life and both needed to be replaced. Cost: $10,500. When I told him I was going to get another opinion he cautioned me about other companies who do shoddy work. My second opinion tech came out a few days later and discovered that the safety interrupt switch by the A/C unit had failed and the unit wasn't getting power. He bypassed the faulty switch and had the A/C unit running in about an hour. He came back a week later and replaced the faulty switch for about $250. The A/C worked fine for the rest of the summer. I can only assume one of two things about the Action tech: either he did not know what he was doing, or he was trying to get me to buy something I didn't need. Either way, I'll never use Action again, nor will I recommend them others.

Action Appliance called me before I had finished posting the job on Angie's List. Scheduled a visit in the same call. Technician did not show up in the agreed-upon four-hour window; Action Appliance called at the end to say sorry and the technician would be there in another hour. We rescheduled instead, for a four-hour window on another day. This time the technician arrived as scheduled, checked the oven model and serial number, made some calls, and reported that the gasket was no longer available. Collected his $55 and left.

They came and just look at it.They said it takes 3 days for the parts to came, the parts are in Denver. They took my money and did not gave me a receipt. I was really frustrated. So here I am, all I want is a receipt. So now, I'm suing them. They are not a certified technician. And they still never fix it, I had to ask other company and they brought me a new dryer, I had them to look at the old dryer and they never replaced the parts. I hate them! they can't even speak English. I went to the office and they're not giving me a receipt so I'm taking them to court in October.

I entered my problem into the Angieslist tabs and got a list of companies. This was at 6:00AM and I decided to wait a couple of hours. At 7:00AM I got a call from Action Appliances - somebody at their end was proactively watching the website. We scheduled an appointment for later in the day. Kimball (not sure if this is his first of last name) arrived when he said he would and quickly determined the problem. He fixed my A/C unit and provided advice on maintenance. Kimball was very professional, he clearly knew his trade, was friendly and responsive. What more could you ask for? I highly recommend this company.

I think they just looked at the air conditioner and not the thermostat. They replaced the central air conditioner. They are coming back today because the unit is not working currently.

We had diagnosis done, so provided model number and part number and said don't show up without the part. Sadly, showed up without the part, said the diagnosis fee wouldn't be credited because it wasn't a single trip, quoted me a price to fix the next day, then raised it $100 the following morning. Should have stopped the process when they called 45 minutes outside the 4 hour window and said the tech was 45 minutes away.

In general, our experience with Action was good. For the initial diagnostic process, the repairman showed up into the evening after the expected window time. However, once the problem was evaluated, John's team worked efficiently and promptly during the holiday weekend. All in all, we would likely use again.

The repairman came out July 3 and said he needed to replace two fuses, which he didn't have on his truck. That's OK, so he gave me a 4 hour window to come back - 12:00 to 4:00 on July 5. Instead of going out as I wanted, I stayed home. He didn't show or call. When I called Action Appliance, they said he gave me a 4 hour window - 12:00 to 4:00 and he would call 20 to 30 minutes before he arrived. I said correct, but it is 4:20 and we haven't heard from him. They said we are next. I asked when he would arrive. They don't know and refused to call him. It is now 4:56 and he still hasn't called. They told me that I could cancel the contract but it would be 40% of the total agreed amount plus a $56 service charge for a total cancellation fee of $204. They didn't care in the least that the service man didn't show or call. This is the worst service I have received from an appliance repair company.

At 6:15AM, John called and told me that he can send someone to check on the freezer at 9AM and 1PM, The guy arrived at 10:20AM, a young named Roman, came and checked the freezer, told me that a new compressor is needed to be replaced and the price would be $678.00, which happens that he has on the truck, I said I could buy a new freezer for $700-800, he said that I have a 15 year old freezer and a new compressor would give me another 8-10 years or so, and with a new freezer would only last 3-5 years. I then said , I need to call my son, and my son said that to get rid of the guy and that I was scammed. Roman had the freezer put back together, and paid him $54.00 with a senior discount, for a service call. This company was a poacher and they have a poor ratings.

Not well. Four visits in one week, and freezer still not working. If it wasn't repairable, that should have been communicated instead of asking us to throw more money and waste more time. Four hour windows, and three of four times, tech showed up at end of the window. Last window went over six hours, wasted a whole day only to be told, they wanted to replace a part they did earlier in the week.
