A World Of Tile

We originally stopped in the store during their grand opening and we were very impressed with the display of tiles and with the wonderful care we were given by Amy. Amy spent a couple of hours with us over the course of a couple of weekends, determining scheme and picking choices of tile for our master bath remodel. We probably would have gone to a different store if it hadn't been for the wonderful service that we were given by Amy because I believe I could have found the tile less expensive elsewhere, but you can't put a price on great service. After our original purchase which was well over $800 (we later added to the order so that it was well over $1K), we made arrangements for our contractor to pick up the tile. It was around this time that we were informed that Amy no longer worked there and that Will would be taking us over as customers. Thereafter, a LOT of problems developed with getting the tile and it became a finger pointing battle between this store and our contractor -- our contractor said that the tile wasn't available when it was supposed to be, and the store said it was always there as it was stock tile. We don't know what the truth is, but we do know that our remodel was delayed by weeks because of this. We had occasion to need more of a particular glass mosaic tile we ordered as an accent tile. We were told that, though a stock product, they were out of stock so would have to order it, but that it would be in by the next Tuesday. When Tuesday came, we were told that they were sent the wrong tile. We were then told that it would be on the truck for Thursday. On Thursday, we were told that it had been shipped from the Arizona store and would arrive Friday morning. Note that our contractor was idle waiting for this illusive mosaic. Friday morning (today) I called and asked what time the truck was expected. I was told it was enroute and would arrive at the store before noon. Noon came and went and I called again. I was told that the truck wasn't coming to THIS store afterall, that it was going to another store and that Will would be driving to the other store to pick it up. Will was to return by 1PM. I called again at 2PM and still nothing other than Will was enroute to meet the truck and they would call me when he returned. Finally at 3:15PM my nephew called to say that he had the tile in hand, it was the correct tile and he was going to purchase all they had so that we wouldn't have to go through this again if we ran short. I am beyond frustrated with the management of this store. I don't feel I can believe anything they say as it all seems to be a brush off/run around. Amy was wonderful to work with and I truly believe that if she were still there, we wouldn't have had these problems or at least we would have been dealt with honestly and directly instead of alot of false commitments. I will not work with this store again.
