We had our basement finished by Basement Specialists. George and his team were amazing. The bid was right in the middle of the lows and highs, and well within the range of market pricing. When we planned the layout, George had insightful input, and creative ideas for how to work around the quirks of ducts, crawl space access, and layout. The design process with Joan was fun and easy. The bid included such finishes as upgraded carpet, custom cabinets, tile, and granite, and the selection was wide. Andrew was our site manager, and he made the whole thing move like clockwork. The crews were quiet and fast. It was within budget, and on time at only 8 weeks from start to finish. All of this comes with a 1 year warranty, and the nicest people to allow in your home.

Basement Specialists was selected amongst other bidders because we felt George was a straight-forward operator. We had other bidders essentially ignore what we wanted, and put more pressure on to make a hasty purchase. George charges a 100$ fee for a complete estimate, but was with 10% of his rough order of magnitude cost given on the spot during the initial consultation. George did his best to start our project as close to our desired start date as possible, and we really appreciated the earlier start.The plumber, electrical and framing work was excellent. The workmen kept the basement very clean and swept up after each work day. The drywall hanging was decent, but I felt done a little too quickly. The drywall tapers managed to hide all the imperfections. The paint job was done fairly well, I am of the opinion that sprayed on paint never looks as good as rolled/brushed. I am likely much more critical of construction work than most however. Overall we were very happy with the results.George managed the construction well, pointed out where our desires would not pass city inspections, and has enough experience in the Broomfield area, he can name all the inspectors by name and tell you what their pet peeve is. Would definately hire him again.

George is very experienced and knows the trades people required. He does a good job of communicating with the customer regarding schedule, options, budget, etc. He also is an expert on building codes for the area, having worked closely with the City of Broomfield on building codes. All of the trades people he selected were highly competent and uniformly nice people. They did their work without much disruption of our lives. They set up a lockbox and a portable toilet, and they did most of their work via the basement window. They locked the basement window each night and used the lockbox only if we were not at home. They did a good job of cleaning up the worksite. I would recommend George with great enthusiasm.

I use them all the time. They give you the option of using them for the entire job, or using them as the subcontractor. They know all the subcontractors in all the fields. He knows who to use. He will not just recommend anybody. They laid the cement evenly the first time. My basement has flooded since then. They are coming out to fix it. They are fabulous. I recommend them on all levels.

Job was professionally done with high quality. They started on time and finished on time. Worked very hard to keep things clean. Expensive, but worth it.

Overall things went very well.  George is extremely easy to work with.  He is very professional and very friendly.  He left no doubt that he had our best interests in mind.  His subs were also friendly and professional.  All of whom did very good quality work.  They entered and exited our home through a basement window 90% of the time.  When they needed to enter the basement through our main floor, they were very respectful of timing and made sure we were forewarned of their entrance.  They also were very courteous about removing their shoes prior to entering our home.  We encountered some minor hiccups along the way (as to be expected on a large project) but all issues were minor and dealt with courteously and professionally.  For example, our granite countertop was not cut with the appropriate holes for our sink faucet.  Upon noticing their mistake they had an installer back out to our property within a couple of days to get it fixed.  We were very happy with our experience and would recommend Basement Specialists to anyone.

I would highly recommend them. He is extremely well known. There were a lot of good references in the same place where I live. He’s done good work and everybody has seen his work. His prices are very good. We compared it to another company. He was extremely professional and punctual. He was very clean. They never came through the door. They only came through the basement window. They brought in the materials through the window. They were amazing. He gave me a price under their bid. They did an excellent job. He was licensed. He’s extremely professional. He had somebody here all the time. If I called and asked him questions, he was very honest. He gets work by being very professional and it works. I have recommended him to a few neighbors now. We looked at two homes he’d done right before ours and we had nothing, but good things to say. He would come when he said he would. They came that day at 8 o’clock in the morning through the window and didn’t bother us. He has all professional people. I would use their services again in the future.
