Electrical Service
The electrician submitted an estimate of $1800.
This total estimated the labor required, as well as some materials needed to complete the project. Labor at $60/hour.
He hurried through his work, always more concerned about doing it quickly, getting done, and leaving. Not on the quality of the job, or best long term results.
Always had an excuse as to the the easy way out.
Had to call him back to redo an incorrectly installed switch. Which he had another good excuse as to why he wasn't going to change it.
He worked HALF of the hours estimated, and still billed for the total amount. Thereby doubling his labor price per hour to $120.
As we are refinancing, I couldn't take the chance of not paying him all the money he was demanding, and have him put a lien on the property.
