Working with Tiley Roofing made the trouble of having a big project to deal with feel less stressful. Every one of the guys that were on the job, were there to work and get the job done right. Whatever questions I had were answered and they got our roof taken care of as fast and efficiently as possible. I am very happy with the service and finished work.

We've been dealing with this roofing company for over four months. 1)We are currently pursuing legal action! 2) We are replacing the roof because our brand new roof is defective. This is our first house and the first and our very first and the most unfortunate experience with a roofing company. I will share a few key points why you should never consider hiring them. 1) The sub-crew came in on-site without supervision for the initial installation. But, of course, we trusted the company and assumed they would do their best. Upon inspection, we found countless damages, including mismatched and old singles, some barely holding, countless leaks, and more. 2) The crew returned eight times and could not fix the damages. There were still no supervisors, but we tried to supervise them as the crew attempted to install damaged shingles. 3) When we tried to communicate with the crew, they became hostile and made us very uncomfortable. My husband and I are no match for the crew of workers with axes. 4) Finally, we tried to reach out and talk to management and asked them to come back with the crew and the supervisor. There was no communication for a while. 5) Finally, the company declared that the work was completed! ** We have many pictures, two reports from independent roofing contractors, and complaint reports, but pictures speak louder than words! **

"This review is associated with the same review below from [Member Name Removed] as [Member Name Removed] lives with [Member Name Removed]. After our roof installation passed city inspection, [Member Name Removed] still thought some items needed attention and he requested a third-party inspection. Tiley paid for two third-party inspections which both passed. We attempted to remediate cosmetic issues with the roof but after [Member Name Removed] threatened to shoot the owner of Tiley Roofing, our staff no longer felt safe to be on-site. [Member Name Removed] is withholding 50% of payment due despite his roof passing three separate inspections. We are currently in a lawsuit to collect this overdue balance. [Member Name Removed] had pursued a construction defect claim but the case has since been dropped, yet payment is still being withheld. Additionally, total project cost was about $30K, not $300K. While "the customer is always right," [Member Name Removed] has been the single worst client Tiley Roofing has ever worked with in 23 years. We would hope that this experience is an outlier compared to our many other satisfied clients."

Stay away from these scammers. They will take your money but will deliver very poor results - Please see attached pictures. A picture speaks a thousand words. This is what my brand new roof looks like that Tiley Roofing installed. It's been over 2 months since they installed these shingles and they have yet to fully fix this (and many many other damaged installed shingles). For the record, they need to replace over 300 damaged installed shingles in total. To date they have been on my property 5 times to fix this but yet my roof still looks like this. Tiley Roofing will try to minimize any defects or damage that they are directly responsible for, they are deceptive and manipulative and will try to make it seem that it's somehow the client's fault. This is a shady business that does not care about their workmanship or clients! Buyer Beware! If Tiley Roofing responds to this review, they will probably claim, I'm the difficult one, or exaggerating or some other deflecting nonsense like that - but I'm telling you the absolute ugly truth about Tiley Roofing - Stay Away!

I was very pleased with Tiley Roofing. They are insured and bonded. Their employees used safety equipment. I have a two story house with a walk out basement so if someone it would not be good. Their customer service, quality and price have been excellent. Since they have been around since 1999 and a Colorado based company, I am confident they will be here if I need warrity work. This is a professional organization and NOT a roofing storm chaser. I would highly recommend them.

They were professional.  They came when they said they would come and everything was fine.  The problem was that about nine months later, I found a big piece of steel sheeting on the ground next to the house and that left me wondering.  When my cooler guy went upstairs to repair the coolers, he said that it came from upstairs and that the other pieces were loose too.  I had to call Tiley and tell them that they need to come back and redo them.  What irritated me was, I paid them a lot of money on insurance and there was no response from them saying 'we are really sorry', or 'we would make sure to fix it' but all they said was, ‘oh we’ll send someone out’.  Then after that, I heard water dripping when there were rainstorms and it seemed like it was dripping in the wall above, so I called them back and I had them come out.  They seemed to get that repaired.  They promptly responded and they were fine.  It was three calls actually; the first call was within a month of them finishing the job.  They had brought the sheet metal flashing to my house; they put it on my front porch, and said they will be sending someone over to do it.  I waited and waited but no one came.  I called and told them the flashing was still waiting and they said, they will send someone out and they did.  They were prompt in sending someone each time I called.  I think it is after that man came that the sheeting must have blown off and so I found it lying on the ground.  The person that they sent must not have known what he was doing.  I didn't compare their prices so I don’t know how I feel about their prices.  I had some quality issues with the flashing and the leak and the person that came to fix those was great.

I am using Tiley Roofing Inc for ever two or three years because of the high winds in my area. I called them up and they come out within a couple of days. They don't only replace the ones that they have blown off but they also check the entire roof and see if there are any loose ones and fix those as well. They're very professional at their work.

  • Horrible experience.

They ordered the wrong shingle and only because I was home when it was delivered was this error caught.  On sight guy assured me it was the correct shingle.  I had the call the manufacturer and have them email me to prove it was not.
Then, with the house sitting in underlayment only waiting for new shingles, rain was forecast.  I tried three times via phone, text and email to get Tiley Roofing to come out before it rained to double check the under layment.  They did not.
Roof leaked during the rain storm.  Caused over $6,000 damage to my house.  Kirk Tiley (the owner) was way more concerned about how to minimize his costs than he was about taking care of my and the situation his company had created.  He interfered with Delta Disaster that did the remediation work telling them to stop work as he was going to do it himself.  He demanded I use his "handy man" to put my house back together instead of a contractor I had used for years on other projects.
Roof got installed several weeks after the leak when correct shingles arrived.  They attempted to install the attic fan which I had specified be installed with a thermostat so it would not turn on in the winter (which is not necessary or helpful in Colorado's cold dry winter climate).  They failed to order a switch that worked with the fan they ordered and tried to blame me for the error because during the sales process I sent them a link of an *example* of what I wanted.
Had a third party roofer inspect the roof.  Realized that the ridge that was installed did not match the field -- was significantly more green in color.  Tiley sent a guy out weeks later to install new ridge and he came right back down saying the new stuff he had was exactly the same and he is shocked that the ridge was ever installed because it clearly does not match.  About 8 weeks later new ridge was shipped and installed that matched.
During all of this Kirk Tiley barely even apologized and never personally offered to make things right through any financial accommodation.  Rather, he sent it to his insurance company and I ended up negotiating with a third party claims administrator.
More than 8 months later my roof is finally done and house back in order.  Got a $3,000 discount for all of my trouble...yippie.
To be fair, Tiley Roofing did do all the work along the way even though I had not paid them a penny (would you?).  I did not pay them anything until the work was finally completed.  And, I refused to sign their insurance company's release form which would have eliminated my ability to get coverage from them if I ever had mold or other future issues from this and Tiley went ahead and ate the $3,000 themselves.
But what a nightmare made worse by the fact that Tiley Roofing cared most about minimizing their costs in the incident instead of focusing on fixing the problems they caused and making things right with their customer.
Suggest you go to a different roofer.

In an industry where there are a lot of questionable characters, it is good to find a legitimate roofing company who does good, honest work.  When I began this project, I started asking around to see if any of my friends had any positive roofing experiences with local roofing companies.  Shockingly, I couldn't get a single positive referral from anyone - scary. So I went to the web and started searching.  It is there I found Tiley, along with many others.  One thing I like about Tiley is that they are a real, local company, not like so many fly-by-night roofers that show up after every hail storm.  Please, people, do your research and don't just sign a contract with the first person who shows up at your door offering a free roof inspection.
I contacted many local companies, many of which never returned my calls and web requests for estimates.  To request an estimate from Tiley, I filled out the web request form on their web site.  I made sure to  note that this was not an insurance claim - we would be paying out of pocket.  I wasn't sure how that might affect the response but it turned out never to be problem.  Tiley was one of three companies who ultimately gave me a quote.  I worked with Klint Tiley for the quote.  He was very easy to work with, he answered all my questions and I never felt like I was talking with salesman - no pressure or upselling.  The estimate was reasonable and in line with the others.  Their contract was also reasonable.  I'm not sure many realize this but not all contracts are the same and some of these roofing companies have contracts that are ridiculous in their attempt to avoid responsibility for any damage during or after the work.  That is just crazy.  Please do yourself a huge favor and make sure to read these contracts before making your decisions.
Based on all of these factors, I chose Tiley.  I signed the contract and we set things up to get started.  They called me the next day to schedule the start date.
Once the project was scheduled to be started, I quickly had some concerns as a huge storm was projected to roll in.  In order to alleviate my concerns, Kirk Tiley contacted me.  He answered my questions and worked with me to set up a schedule that I was comfortable with.  We agreed that we would start after the storm and it turned out to be a very big storm!  I very much appreciated the flexibility they showed to alleviate my concerns.
They started the following week (after the storm) and the project went very well.  The most important thing to me was that it was a no-hassle process with no surprises.  Once they started, their crew was there promptly each morning and we never had any issues.  They were very considerate of our property and they took the extra care necessary to prevent any damage to the landscaping and property.  They did exactly what they said they would do and kept the work area very clean.
The new roof looks great and works just like it should.
Overall, their on-site crew and office staff are all very professional and courteous.  When I received the final paperwork I was pleasantly surprised that they had included a special insurance form we needed confirming our impact-resistant shingles.  it was just one more little thing that all adds up.
In all, it was a positive experience and I will hire them again and recommend them to others.

Everything seems to be fine.  I can’t think of anything.  They did the job, obviously I didn’t go up on the roof and we haven’t had any rains so I don’t know yet.  It is a two-storey house, so I can’t even see the repair but I assume it is good.  I called a couple of other people and it was about the same price.  If I need a new roof, I will be calling them.

Roofing team did a great job installing. Project completed on time & team did a good job keeping the area clean. Paul (project manager) did a great job keeping me informed of progress and ensuring the roofing team was doing quality work. All inspections passed on first attempt and inspectors commented on quality of work.

They were supposed to replace boards under the shingles but they did not replace the area they were contracted to do. After some negotiating with them they only repaired half the boards. They also were supposed to repair some gutters, that was not completed correctly either.

It went well overall. The foreman showed up after the work was started. He was very friendly and said he would be by from time to time to see how the work was going. A crew of two took about 3 days to complete the project. They worked hard and well into the evening each day. At completion I mentioned to the foreman that some downspouts had been damaged and some cosmetic work was needed on old trim not replaced. He said it would be no problem. I never heard from him again. I did not pursue the issue since it was minor but it left a bad taste in my mouth.
Response from Tiley Roofing Inc
"Member, Thank you for taking the time to review our company on Angie's List. We greatly appreciate it! As for your damages to the downspouts I will be in contact with you regarding those things. We have systems in place now that help us to repair any damages we make while performing the install. If these are still issues we certainly would like an opportunity to make it right. We truly regret that our foreman failed to follow up with you regarding those issues. Sincerely, The Tiley Roofing staff"
