Worst contractor experience ever. Most unskilled work other contractors who looked at it after had ever seen. Job was never fully complete and had to have someone else finish, plus completely redo most of what had been done poorly. Owner took bankruptcy, so ended up loosing a lot of money on what had to be finished and redone.

The serviceman who came out found 5 major issues. I hired another company to review the diagnosis and that company found nothing that was needing to be fixed. A year later and everything still working fine.

The service was great. I called on Sunday because the furnace was making noise and it smelled like burnt hair. They scheduled an appointment for Monday at noon. They were able to come earlier, Adam was very professional and fully explained why I needed a new furnace and air conditioner. Both were installed by 6 pm. I have been doing business with them for many years with them and will continue whenever I have any problems.

Badly. I purchased an annual agreement last year with Staley's for Heating/Swamp Cooler service. They started out ok, did a furnace check and recommended a couple of parts be replaced. I agreed. They took pictures so they'd know what parts to order. Next, they called me re: a balance due for the same parts - which hadn't been installed yet. We straightened this out and scheduled the appointment. They've since shown up twice without the required parts they assured me they'd bring (first for furnace and then for swamp cooler) and then expected me to wait while they left to purchase, bring back and install them. This appears to be in part due to lack of communication between techs and people scheduling appts (no questions asked re: what size filters, etc - they simply said the techs would bring the parts with them, so I thought they were standard - my bad, lesson learned). I waited the first time, I wasn't willing to do this again - I take time off of work for these appointments. When I pointed the error out to the tech, he said I was being rude. He became very unpleasant, and I asked him to leave. At this point, I was upset and, admittedly, rude. I've never had to ask a tech to leave before - it was a very uncomfortable experience. He's since left a voicemail and a text telling me he's the owner and that I was rude to both him and his techs (not true - no issues with other techs), and he doesn't want to business with me anymore. The feeling is very mutual. Sloppy business practices, very unprofessional.

My only problem with this company is it's excessive pricing system.For starters, most companies will give you the rate for the service call/estimate. Then if you agree to the work, this charge for estimate is exchanged for the repair charges. Staley did not do this. They charged both.Secondly, I've very familiar with capacitors and their cost plus the labor to replace them. The total charge of over $350 for this simple repair was unjustifibly excessive.The fact is the technician was in and out in less than 1 hour.

They were the most knowledgeable of the UNICO air conditioning system with many years experience installing them in a wide variety of homes. The team was always on time and provided a clean installation. System works as designed. Other installers were obviously guessing at a lot of the technical details and installation options while I was gathering bids. Don't waste your time, Staley is the one you should call especially if looking at a UNICO system.

We had a competitor come look at our boiler (specifically a leak), he worked very little, charged a lot and left without our heat working (which I did not realize until 2 hours later when the house was still cold). We didn't care for them, checked Angie's List, found and called Staley late that same afternoon and they were able to get me a morning appointment the next day.

Mike showed up near the time we were quoted, and I explained everything I knew. Rather than immediately try to replace a pump (I told him what the last guy said), he spent a good 20-30 minutes troubleshooting - walking me through what he was trying, which taught me a LOT more about the boiler than I'd known.

He narrowed the issue down to something to do with the water not coming into the boiler, and started testing on that set of pipes - at some point in his jostling the water started flowing again and everything worked!

Because he took the time to troubleshoot it well, we were done in less than an hour without any major equipment replacements! I will absolutely call Staley again - especially if Mike is available.

I got three bids for this job, and Staley's guy was the only one that inspected the whole house, took measurements, counted heat registers. When he arrived, the first thing he did was sit down with me and explain the various options, informed me about blockages to air flow in the house, and briefed me on the pros and cons of various options. Neither of the other two companies did that - they just went down and looked at the furnace room.On install day, two workmen showed up on time (they called before they got here to say they were on their way) and the whole operation went smoothly. They explained how the whole thing worked, taught me about my new thermostat and cleaned up afterwards. Only glitsch - they forgot to turn the water heater back on, which we did not discover until the next day when we tried to shower. Brr.

They were really really good, and they  have been very good to us. They are honest, and reasonably priced. We get their top tech every time, and he is fantastic, he knows his stuff, and is very nice.The cost depends on what is wrong, but we pay per year for the visit. Punctuality is not so good.

We have an annual contract with them. They are going to do the water heater next week and it is going to cost $250. They are adding to our water heater and expanding tank so the valve doesn't expand and the water tank doesn't leak. They are always prompt and right on top of things. After the guy diagnosed the problem he said the office would call back to tell me the cost and everything; she called within two hours.

We had two different workers out on the same day to clean and tune up the furnace and to give us an estimate for central air. Both were friendly, competent, and respectful of my home. Since we were just moving in, they also explained how the system worked and how to maintain it. It was educational in addition to the work they performed. I would definitely use them again.

Called Staley to come and do estimate. There rep was on time and gave the most comprehensive, well explained estimate out of the 3 companies called. Pricing was about the same for all 3 estimates. Installation crews were on time and did the work in the time estimated. Crews cleaned up after themselves and explained how to use and maintain units. Any questions I've had, have been answered via a phone call or I've been called back the same day with the answers. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Staley and would, and have recommended them to friends.
