"Thanks for your kind words. The photos with the furniture on it look great! You both were a pleasure to work with. Hannah too! We installed 2450 sq.ft. tri-level stamped back patio in Franktown. Keystone wall block placed. Color- Pecan Stamp Pattern - Rough Stone Additional pictures can be found on our Facebook page!"
"K&K installed a 200 sq. ft. colored driveway expansion for this customer in one day. When removing the landscaping rocks, it was discovered that a drain was leading to the middle of where the new concrete would be. K&K extended the drain to the easement at no charge to the customer. The crew appreciated the little girl's Xmas treat bags she made for them!"
"K&K removed a sinking 240 sq.ft. patio and replaced with 3 caissons and rebar for support and a future pergola."
"The customer parents live in CO and he was handling their driveway and front entrance project remotely. We removed and replaced a 580 sq. ft. driveway, front entrance steps, and front patio all in one day."
"ANY CUSTOMER WHO WOULD LIKE TO SEE THE CORRESPONDANCE, PLEASE ASK...This is simply a fabrication of the truth! Work was performed back in 2017 and the review 4 1/2 yrs later. We were asked to replace the top of the driveway to a detached garage, replace the front 1.6' of the garage and pour a small walkway/patio between the detached garage and existing patio. Customer was present at time of the project and even signed a completion form stating we did everything contracted. A year later he said a 'city inspector' was failing him for us pouring up to a trim board. We asked for the city's information so we could work with them and he wasn't able to produce. The emails started to accuse K&K of coming on his property to causing " strange occurrences," like placing a sucker in his bushes - essentially calling him a sucker. He said he had cameras. I assured him we had no involvement but the accusatory emails continued. I encouraged him to share his footage with police as I know we had nothing to do with what may have been happening. We employ adults; not children. Being that we've never had such interaction, we wanted to protect ourselves and asked the local police what can be done to protect ourselves. The police offered to call this home owner and ask them to stop -essentially -harassing us. He was not a 'fake' cop. The home owner had his direct number. Most the items mentioned, I cannot address as it has been far to long ago to recall. We just have the emails only complaining of a trim board."
"Removed and replaced 3 car driveway, front walkway and extended front patio. Customer had copper pipes and plastic pipes for an existing sprinkler system that ran under the driveway. We helped fix the immediate area, but informed them that they lines should be switched out. All work performed in 2 days."
"K&K graded, formed and poured a 320 sq.ft. driveway expansion with class 6 road base in one day. Customer was a pleasure to work with."
"We removed and replace a 760 sq.ft. driveway with fiber mesh and wire mesh. We offered a military discount as well. While onsite, the customer asked to add a step to the front porch area and we did that for them as well."
"Thanks for the comments! We remove and replaced 980 sq.ft. of driveway and walkway along with the front 88 sq.ft. of the garage floor in 2 days. We also reset a grate drain for the front downspout."
"We were able to remove and replace the 655 sq.ft. driveway and part of the front walkway with over excavation and class 6 road base. Also added fiber mesh to the mix with rebar every 2' on center."
"We removed a 450 sq.ft. back deck (found 20 yrs of dog hair...) and replaced with a stamped patio. We also inset the steps for a more appealing look. The pictures will be on the website and Facebook page!"
"We poured a walkway, side patio and front patio expansion on their personal residence and an elevated walkway at their rental property all in one day! We even drilled in to the concrete for them to be able to lock the gate. Customer was a pleasure to work with!"
"We removed, replaced and expand the driveway from 520 to 860 sq.ft. We also replaced the front entrance all in one day. Will definitely help with the curb appeal as the customer is selling."
"We remove and replaced the driveway and front entrance steps which were pulling away from the house and draining the incorrect direction. We replaced everything in one day and work looks beautiful. This home owner's realtor even referred us to another client of hers!"
"It is unfortunate, but this customer has changed their story each time they write a review. I have screenshots that THIS review has been modified 20 times! (starting 2/24/19 - as of 3/6/2019) The ?office manager? is the same person who originally met with the home owner to bid on the project. Her bid showed enough experience for them to hire K&K Construction. The BBB has a drop down menu for job titles; that has nothing to do with the work in question. She is not an office manager. She has 12 years experience in this field of work. Stating she was not experienced, is incorrect. When she went to look at the areas of concern, they cracks were hairline (shrink) cracks. Most of which wouldn't even show in a picture since they were so thin. They even asked for an estimate for their driveway at that meeting. We were never ?baited? with the promise of more work. Per the contract, the cracks are acceptable and aren't covered. Knowing the home owner has a 1 yr warranty, she said should they become wider, we would replace them. In the meantime, K&K offered to seal them as a courtesy with concrete epoxy. That offer was made 6/22/18. The home owner replied on 6/30/18 that the cracks were wider and sent a picture. The home owner requested the owner come out. The crew went to seal the cracks and did notice that they were wider. (It was not a ?bucket of concrete.? We use concrete epoxy to seal cracks; which is not sold in buckets.) A meeting was set for 7/19/18, but the owner had a conflict. We had to wait for the rain to schedule another date. Ultimately, the home owner and K&K agreed to replace the cracked sections. A date was set for replacement in early August, but the home owner asked for K&K to, ??wait a bit longer?as the cracks were getting bigger.? Another date was set, but the home owner had company in town. They were part of the delay in getting the repairs done as well. Stating that K&K was unresponsive is incorrect. The contract states that all issues must be done by certified mail. This is to protect both parties and everything is documented in writing. The home owner made several calls to the owner directly (many all in one day.) It's like expecting John Elway to be in the service department at one of the dealerships. The owner is running the business and can't take every matter directly; thus why the home owner was directed to call the office with concerns. Here is an excerpt from an email to the home owner after finding a date in October that worked for them "That contract clearly states, ?K&K?will make necessary repairs in a timely manner. The timeline for repairs will depend on the already scheduled workload of the crews and the weather. Repairs will also not be performed during the months of October- March; unless extenuating circumstances arise." Even with that agreement, we still want to get this done for you sooner than later, but you have to be patient. You want this done before the end of October, but then"
"This work was performed at St.Mary's Catholic Church in Littleton. One of the entrances had the old pebble overlay that was flaking off. We removed that medium and replaced with colored concrete. It looks beautiful and won't require any further maintenance."
"This customer just purchased a house built in the late 1800s. What was believed to be a coal chute in the middle of their patio, ended up being a set of steps into the basement with a false ceiling! There was also a 4' deep grease trap under the back door. We were able to come up with solutions on-the-fly to rectify both areas and still give the customer the function they needed. The drain that was 'missed' was not in the original quote, but we installed free of charge. We also poured more concrete that originally quoted in the garage; since during the time of the visit for the estimate, the home owners didn't have access inside."
"We ended up doing 2 neighbor's projects at the same time as this project. Since the work was done together, the home owners were able to save money. 2 large driveways, a back patio, a ramp and walkways were completed in 2 1/2 days."
"We extended the customer's existing driveway and capped 2 sprinkler heads. Ken was a pleasure to work with!"
"K&K Construction removed and replaced the front entrance steps and elevated front patio to the home in one day. We added a caisson on the steps to help with the shifting soil issues."
