Cabinet Making
Horrible! The guy Woodcraft recommended, George M, showed up w/a visiting buddy of his who had nothing to do with the business. George behaved very familiarly, not like a professional at all. He gave us a quote or $300-$400 to do the whole thing. We gave him 2 front panels to try to salvage and the two side wood panels to be re-used. Then we didn't hear back from him for over a week, then he showed up to take measurements. Then told us it would be a week to complete the carpentry work. Another 3 weeks went by before we had the new panels - which were nowhere near the quality of the previous ones - and on one, he just cut it down in size to fit the freezer door - so it didn't even match the other border sizes on the cabinetry. Further, he claimed the wood was a more expensive wood than he thought and we ended up paying George $1,000 - ugh. His installation was really sloppy, he actually tried to GLUE the panels to the fridge - using a board against a stair rail to hold it in place (damaging both the side panel & the wood on the stair rail), and then it didn't stick. So he ended up screwing it like he should have in the first place. He also dropped one of the side panels, damaging a floor tile - not repairable. He was not punctual - sometimes arriving hours later than he promised. This was the most unprofessional and unsatisfactory job we have ever had done in the house. So sorry we chose him, the refrigerator paneling still doesn't look right but we are living with it. Just to not have to see him again was worth living with a substandard job. We paid him more than double what he quoted just so we wouldn't have to deal with him any further. Shame on Woodcraft for recommending this "gash-hand".
