WESTSIDE BOOT & SHOE

New to town, I tried to support a locally owned, neighborhood business. They charged quite a bit but said my boots would be ready in five weeks. When I called after five weeks to check, they said, "No, eight weeks." After eight weeks, I drove by to pick them up. They said some equipment had broken down, so it would be another week. Finally got them back after 10 weeks. Not apologetic at all. Never again.

It took over 10 weeks to get my boots back. They initially told me it would take 8 weeks, which is LONG, but I was like okay and accepted that. I called at the time when they should have been ready and they were still not done and said they SHOULD be ready by the end of the week (they were not).

This place does good work however they take a very long time ( 8 weeks ) to put new heels on the shoes. If there was another quality shoe repair in town I would use them but so far I have not found one.

They did a great job--put a really heavy duty replacement zipper on and the other repair turned out better than I thought it would. The price came in lower than the initial quote so was particularly wowed by that. Took a bit longer than they said but not horribly so.
I am going to use them again to put a handle on a messenger bag, on the top flap so would definitely use them again.

Friendly staff. While one pair was routine, the other pair of dress pumps had a nasty tear at the back. They did a beautiful job and duplicated the unavoidable cross-stitching on the other shoe of the pair so that the repair is undetectable.
