The service kept going downhill every year. Pleased the first year, then they gave me the run-a-round the second year about billing and it took numerous phone calls to get straightened out. At the end of the third year I spoke to the local manager about my concerns in the treatment and lack of expertise with the techs that were coming to my house. They kept missing weeds in the lawn and rock areas and gave me inconsistent advice about what was best for my lawn which was a clear sign that they didn’t know what they were doing. The manager promised me that the next year would be different and he’d only have his best technicians come to the house. My third and final year started off horribly with more billing issues that took many phone calls to get sorted out. Sales people would show up to my front door asking if I wanted to subscribe to TruGreen service so their customer tracking and awareness is completely lacking. Technicians were horrible and continued to miss weeds. One gave me bad info about mites in my grass that he wanted to sell me a treatment for. I declined and the next technician that came told me I didn’t have mites so be aware that this company will also try to sell u things that u don’t need. They also overseeded my lawn with a different type of seed than my original lawn so it made my lawn look terrible due to different types of grass. Tried calling the manager several times and could never get him to return my calls. Cancelled my service and keep getting phone calls asking me to start my services with them again. I’ve complained several times and every time they call they say they don’t see anything in the system about my issues. This company pays a lot of money on their fancy trucks and uniforms, but buyer beware, this company doesn’t care about your lawn, only their bottom line.

I used to use Scott's Lawn Service (and the lawn looked immaculate for over a decade [I have pictures from almost every year that you can see it looks like a baseball field]) and then they got bought out by TruGreen. On the second application from TruGreen their tech spray weed killer on my entire lawn by mistake and left me a note, not even apologizing, just saying he sprayed weed killer and I may see my grass turn brown for the summer. I wonder if he would have even left a note if my camera had not caught him (he looked right at it, then grabbed a ticket to write the note on). I tried calling them, but you can't call the local office as it is redirected to the call center in some other state and all they can do is "get a message to the local branch to have someone call you", but that doesn’t happen. They said the local branch doesn't take calls directly due to the high number of complaints they get. I had to look up the address and go down there in person and talk to the General Manager, John Prather. At first, he seemed very willing to help and said exactly what was needed to lower my frustration, and promised my lawn would be restored to the way is used to look (never happened). Later on from August 2017 on, he never returned my phone calls or emails, refunded the wrong amount back and he had to fix it, and never followed up with me at all from August on. He had Tony and Ken Brady work with me, by my lawn has never looked the same, and they don’t even follow-up any longer. They wanted to do an aeration in September to help it, and scheduled it, then never showed up, called me back tried to schedule it but said their schedule was full for the next week and they’d call me soon, and then never called. I had to make another trip down to the local office and call the call center nine times to finally get a call back and that person never called me back either. I finally got a hold of Ken Brady and he said they forgot about the aeration and since it was the end of October, they stopped doing them for the season, but would be out next spring. I called him six times the following spring (spring 2018) and after not showing up three times, they finally came out, but only aerated the front and said they couldn’t do the back because of dogs and a locked gate. I don’t have dogs or a locked gate. Also, my security camera footage shows the tech walking around to the back yard, talking on his cell phone and sitting in my lawn chair for almost half an hour, and then coming back to the front. When they did the front, they broke two sprinklers that I had to fix and they never came back to do the back yard, even after multiple called to the call center, Ken Brady, and Tony. I called the call center to cancel all services the person told me that the Colorado Springs location has so many complaints that she’s not surprised. One of their techs (came from Scott’s) that did an application last year told me their bread and butter is commercial/golf courses and they don’t really care about residential and he’s going to lawn doctor as soon as there’s an opening. He also told me that they don’t use Scott’s Fertilizer, they used a watered down version of the commercial grade stuff they apply. After I cancelled, I went down to the branch to let the GM know that I had enough and when I went in, I was asked what I needed, and I said I would like to talk to John Prather as I have a complaint, and they said he only talks to happy customers and said he was out. I called his cell phone and left several messages-never heard back and I emailed him and never heard back. Later in the week I got a call from Corporate Customer relations asking why I cancelled (a lady named Jasmine in Pennsylvania) and I explained everything to her and she said she would get it escalated to a regional manager and they would get my lawn fixed; never heard back. I called back again and no one knew who she was.

I was contacted by a door-to-door rep two years ago. My lawn looked terrible (lots of weeds and bare spots), but he said they could have it looking like the fairway at Augusta within 18 months. Sounded good to me, so I signed up for service. Now, two years later, not only does my lawn not look like the fairway at Augusta, it actually looks worse than it did before I started service. They did service my yard as agreed. And when I complained a few times that the service wasn't doing any good, and they came out and did a few extra treatments at no charge. So I can't say they didn't show up and do the work. The problem is, the work they did, the treatments they made, accomplished nothing. Overall, it was a complete waste of money. I paid for two years of service, and have absolutely nothing to show for it.

I used TruGreen.  Somebody called and insisted that I spray the trees because they could have some bugs on them.  The guys that came over here are nice.

Most of the time it was a little difficult to schedule because they were so busy. When they did come out, it was a great job. But one time, they came out and sprayed without notifying us first, which is against the contract we signed. We had a lot of difficulty with the receptionist, who was very rude, and always said we were "on the wait list," but we never got serviced again. The service is good, but the receptionist is beyond rude.

They started out okay in the beginning but then they kept saying if we needed service in-between to just let them know. I called them and told them to come out and take a look because I had some brown spots. They said they would be out sometime the next week for their regular service but they never showed up so I just canceled their service. I wasn't happy. The guys that come out were really friendly and helpful. Their service department is in Denver and when I would call, they were not very friendly or helpful.

The service was fine. We had them for 5 or 6 years, and our last service was a couple of weeks ago. We have been satisfied with their work, and their rates are reasonable. We have some small spots that have not responded to treatments.

We used TruGreen for many years, and we don't use them any longer, because we are both retired, and we do our own yard. The cost fluctuates and varies with what you ask them to do.  They did a very good job.

Originally, prompt and courteous.  They were supposed to increase the R value from 30 to 60 in the attic.

I had an energy audit performed 8 Aug, and there are a few patches that are R60 and the rest are R32 or 34.  I have left messages, but no response.  I had my suspicions the work was not correct, but had to way to prove it.  I do not feel anyone should have to pay to have the same service performed twice for a job not even a year old.

-The local people are not coordinated.  The salesman told me there would be 3 treatments over the remainder of the year.  We talked to several other customer service reps and manager and their answers varied between 2 and 3.
We have 10 trees but were told only 9 were treated.  We don't know which one was not.
We requested multiple times to talk to the technician - he never called.
The service note left on our door said they did an I&D Injection and sprayed the trees.  these items were done in 12 minutes.
No one could tell me what an I&D injection is.
The service note indicated the application rate for their spray chemical is 12 Gal/1000sq ft.   this equals .12 agl/sq ft. They used .11 gal  for 9 trees.  I think a tree has more than 1 sq ft of leaf surface area.
Customer service is not local.
we canceled the service after one treatment.
