"Thank you so much for the kind review! We are very pleased you are happy with the services provided."
Our vehicle was 1st towed there in July of this year. After repairs totaling over $900 we brought our Isuzu home. Unfortunately about 3 wks later, it was towed back in for the same problem/issue.
After 5wks of them supposedly trying to repair the vehicle under the warranty for the 1st service, we had it towed out of there to another shop. They said that they could not figure out the issue(s) with regards to our Isuzu. We got fed up with their lack of followup and contact with us. We asked for a partial refund due to the original work not being able to fix the issue the first time. We were told no when we went in to collect the vehicle. After towing the vehicle to the new shop we were surprised to see what we found under the hood! Or better yet what wasn't there.
We will update this post after the 2nd shop puts the vehicle back together just to be able to start their diagnostics.
We were just looking for a good place to go to for regular vehicle repairs/service but that didn't happen.
On to the next shop and hoping for a better experience somewhere else.
"On July 22, 2015 the 2001 Isuzu Rodeo was towed to our shop for a “ Cranks but NO Start” condition. When the vehicle arrived and was unloaded, the technician proceeded to verify the customer complaint. To his surprise, when he turned the key to crank the engine over, it started without any problem. He drove it around the block and could not duplicate any issues. The customer was promptly called and advised of this. The customer was completely baffled by this news. The vehicle owner requested that we do a full compression test on the engine, and agreed to pay for that test ( $195.00 ) so that he would know the “health condition” of the engine. The engine had great compression for it’s age and mileage. He also requested that we drive the vehicle for a few days to see if the original problem returned. We fulfilled the request and was never able to duplicate any engine problems. We reported this news after driving the vehicle for several days. Since no problem was duplicated, the vehicle owner requested that we perform several other unrelated services on the vehicle since it was in our shop. These included replace all spark plugs, change oil and filter, coolant system flush, complete transmission service and flush, and a fuel injection system flush. The customer was given a breakdown of all costs to perform requested services, and agreed to all charges. The repairs were made and the customer drove the vehicle away on 08/05/2015. On 08/31/2015 ( nearly a month later ) the vehicle was towed in for a “Cranks but NO start” condition again. The technician verified the complaint and confirmed that the engine would crank but would not start. The vehicle owner requested that we perform a fuel psi test, ignition system test, and compression test and agreed to pay for all tests. All listed tests passed and the customer was advised of the test results. We recommended that an inspection of the timing belt and components be performed as a next step in attempting to diagnose the problem. The customer agreed to pay the labor charges associated with this. Our technician confirmed that the timing belt relationship was correct based on the limited information avail from the manufacturer. The vehicle owners did some internet research of their own, and brought a list of “internet fixes” that they wanted us to perform. Among these were testing and replacing numerous sensors and components that were completely unrelated to a no start condition. The customer agreed to pay for the time spent to satisfy their research. Several hours were spent doing this, including replacing the PCM engine computer, to no avail. At this point, we determined that there was a problem in one or both of the cylinder heads and recommended that the suspected head be removed for disassembly and inspection. The customer declined any further diagnosis time and labor, and requested not to reassemble any parts removed during the diagnosis process. The vehicle owner requested that all removed parts be placed in the back of the vehicle, and that they would tow the vehicle away. When the vehicle owners arrived to tow the vehicle away, they asked for a full refund of the services that were completely unrelated to the no start condition performed a month earlier, AND refused to pay for the current labor and diagnostic charges. The business owner gave up over 20 hours of diagnostic and testing labor as a customer courtesy. We were shocked to learn that the customer was charged $6000 for an engine replacement that was not needed by another repair facility. We believe that we went the extra mile for this customer, and regret that they were not satisfied by the relief of not being charged for numerous hours of diagnosis labor time."
