I've only left one other review in my entire life. I am leaving this review in order to spare others of the frustrations that come with hiring Tony. I was given Tony's name via a friend of mine that has been recommended him, so I didn't check him out online first (big mistake). Although Tony started off well with replacing my shed roof and installing gutters/downspouts (except the one he forgot), he then crashed and burned in ways that were deplorable. I honestly don’t know how he stays in business with the way he treats people. It was only later that I saw he had some pretty bad reviews online. The reviews highlighted the same kind of experience I’ve had with Tony: he goes completely MIA, he breaks things and doesn’t make things right, he lies and he absolutely refuses to communicate. His guys broke a glass shelf, scraped up and dented a stained ceiling beam with a ladder, and installed lengths of quarter round on the ceiling instead of by the floor due to poor communication between he and his guys. He made/installed all my gutters/downspouts and then forgot one and never came back to complete the job. Multiple times he would schedule to come out and then no show/no call and never respond to my texts or phone calls. I gently told him how it didn't work for me to rearrange my schedule to wait to only have a no show from him. He said, "Oh, I was so busy, it wasn't even a thought in my mind." I actually made the choice to go to his house to retrieve window screens that he held hostage for over 5 weeks in the prettiest time of the year up here because he just wouldn’t give them back or communicate. When I said that I had previously told him that this incognito/incommunicado thing that he does doesn't work for me. All the said was, "I know." He uses the rain as an excuse all the time when 90% of my jobs are inside jobs. The majority of the screens were in worse shape than when I gave them to him: bent, dented, and the screens were put on so tight that they were already starting to rip out on the sides before I ever reinstalled them. PLEASE BEWARE and look elsewhere for your handyman needs.

Tony Seal is one of those nightmare contractors you hear stories about. We hired him to finish our unfinished basement. He gave a great initial impression, spoke about how great his people are, how high quality their work is, how he will be laser focused on our project until it is done, and how reasonable his cost is. It was all untrue. It was quoted as a 6 week project. That was 40 weeks ago and it is still unfinished. We will have to hire someone else to complete our project and he is still holding onto our materials, not answering our calls or texts. Throughout the work he and his guys did (about 90% he wasn't around for and was done by his guys, another thing he lied about), there were constant delays, excuses about someone having an emergency here or there to the point of ridiculousness. There would be long stretches where he would just ignore our calls and texts (there were hundreds of them). And there was sloppy work that had to be redone (much of it still not fixed). They were around when there was the most money still to be paid but just disappeared toward the end. He obviously cares nothing about his customers or his commitments and just simply ripped us off. I highly encourage everyone to use the ratings services (Angielist, HomeAdvisor, theyre both free now) and only go with contractors that are well rated and highly reputable as they care about maintaining their reputation and producing quality. This was a miserable experience that sapped our cash and our energy.

Tony really helped me out in a jam. I had to have some gutters fixed before closing on the sale of my house. I only had about 13 days to have the estimate & work completed. Since it's the beginning of summer EVERYONE was booked solid, including Tony. After hearing my situation he made time in his schedule - even though the weather was not cooperating & it was still snowing. He got the estimate done, went over cost & repairs with me before starting any work at a great price. He was very patient because I had to make sure the buyers still wanted the work done as a condition of the closing. He still got the work completed 9 days before I had to close on the house. It looked great and the paint matched perfectly. I was very pleased he was on time, professional, and there weren't any "surprise" costs at the end- what was quoted is what I paid. I appreciated his honesty and he didn't take advantage of my time crunch to over charge me for the work. The buyers were very happy with the repairs so it worked out great. If Tony had not squeezed me into his schedule I would not have been able to close on my house sale on time. I appreciate him helping me out more than he knows!

It was a pleasure to work with Tony and his men.  He showed up on time every day, worked hard, kept the job moving along without interruption, cleaned up daily and finished on time.  He is a multi-talented man with a great can-do attitude.

Tony did a wonderful job on painting the house.  While my insurance only adjust for the front, deck and shed, Tony worked with me on a reasonable price to do the entire thing.  Tony believes in doing his best, and with that in mind, he first powerwashed, then primed the house before applying any paint.  As the job went along, some things came along that brought the final cost a little higher than the original estimate, and due to weather can other complications, the job took a couple days longer than I was originally told.
That said, however, I would definitely recommend using Tony's Home Improvement to anyone.  He works with you every step of the way to make sure that things are going the way *you* want them to, and that you are very satisfied with the work.  He's a little more pricey than others out there, but well worth it!

He is very conscientious. I wanted my shower and floor in my bathroom to be retiled. The project took about a week and a half which was a little longer than I thought it would take but I am happy with the outcome. He is very competitively price and he's a man of his word. I am planning on having him come again soon to paint my house and deck.
