Tick Tock Shop

Went in store, nice store and wanted an estimate on getting a pocket watch repaired. Quoted me a price just to open it up and look, said it possibly needed to be serviced and cleaned. Left the watch to be looked at came back next week. Thought the price was high so I went on internet to look at other shops. Found one cheaper and does good work. The Tick Tock is a great place and professional work is done but prices was too high. The have a great selection of all sorts of clocks, but I an't rich. Anyone reading this go there first and make your own decision. But there are other watch/clock makers out there. You decide.

Great, the change of batteries was an easy painless task and took them no time at all. Unforntunatley my husband's watch that needed the most attention was not something they could help us out with. This was due to the watch being of higher quality (Rolex) and all repairs/servicing must be sent to Rolex. With that being said, they spent approximatley 15 minutes in helping me write to Rolex so that they would understand the issue. - They always acknowledge all of their customers when we first walk in the door, they are extremely polite, very knowledgable and will go far above their means to make us all want to return!!!

Friendly service and reasonable cost. Time took twice as long as quoted - 6 weeks vs. 3 weeks.

I made comment of its age and The clerk gave me to know that was not a problem. I put it into the hand of a female behind the counter and about 20 minutes later she brought back a bag with shards of what was my watch.and said that they would replace it. She expressed her apologies and they would call me when they had it I checked online and a suitable replacement was available. This happened in Nov 2011. I am still waiting for the call.

First clock service took a while (4 weeks?). I acknowledge they are a busy shop and it takes a while of run time to fine adjust the movement of these old machines and check the accuracy of the setting but I felt the work might have been completed quicker. Cost a bit high for what was done. Second clock was taken in a couple of months after the first clock was completed. Time frame for repair was about the same (4 weeks?) Cost was surprising, about a quarter the cost of the first clock's tune-up. Pricing seemed topsy-turvy. All staff I have dealt with are knowledgeable, professional and courteous.

I've always been pleased with the Tick Tock Shop - excellent work on wind-up watches, repair, and an excellent price on the new desk clock bought as a gift. I would highly recommend the Tick Tock Shop!

Left the watch to be repaired and new battery and asked to be called if charge would be over $100. They called to tell us it was ready. When I got there, they told me the charge would be $100. The watch stopped working about 3 months later. Have not returned.

Prompt service, a watch part was replaced and due to a little extra time it took to find the part, the owner gave us the service for free.

I have been going there about 20 years. There is not very many people do what they do. The last time I took a clock in I had to take it back twice before it got fixed but they were very nice about it and fixed it. They are good.

They did a great job. They brought the clock back. Then reinstalled the clock in the house and made sure all parts are working properly, and time pieces are running at the right pace before they leave.

It went better than expected. Our clock stopped working after moving it for carpet replacement. We thought someone would come out and just get the clock working but instead we a full service was performed. The Grandfather clock had never been services since we purchased it 1978 so was well overdue. We and two of my family have used the Tick Tock shop in the past and have always had excellent service and reasonable pricing. Thank You t Richard and all the folks at the Tick Tock Shop. They are professional, reasonably priced, reliable and honest.

Work was slow, they didn't let us know when it was finished and it was beyond the promised date for the clock, but the work was done well.

They told me what they would do and how long it would take. Other shops, including the original manufacturer, had taken months to try to repair it, and I had to initiate contact with the previous repair shops to even get the watch back. Tick Tock Shop was able to repair it in less than a week and at a very reasonable cost. I am very impressed! My only complaint is that I had to wait in line to have someone take care of me, but since they did such a good job, a little waiting in line was worth it! Tick Tock Shop called me when the watch was ready, and, indeed it was ready within the time period they had promised.

I bought a fairly decent Tissot watch from Jared's a couple of years ago. Around Thanksgiving of last year, I dropped it on my hard wood floor, and three or four of the numerals on the dial popped off. I took it back to Jared's to see if they could fix it. They said they could, but it would take about six weeks and cost about $225. I only paid $250 to begin with. So, I found the Tick Tock Shop. They didn't break any speed records getting it fixed ( about three weeks if I remeber correctly), but when all was said and done, they replaced the battery and reattached the numerals to the dial for about $20. So, a pretty good deal if you ask me.

I purchased two clocks & had them clean a couple watches. I like to buy local, could have bought the clocks cheaper online. They attempted to an old ladies Hamilton, I did pay for the service, the watch did not work. Took it back, they had the watch for 6 weeks, they could not make it work. I will look for another repair shop.
