Robert worked very hard to negotiate the price and make sure that he got the job and gave me options to do some things myself (i.e. mask off the hard wood floors) to reduce the cost. His price came in slightly higher than some but lower than others. In the end I chose to work with Robert because I felt like he would do the best job and had the most experience. There was one other company I was considering and felt like they had the skills I needed but their price was almost $3,000 higher. It was a very large job with 5 unfinished knotty alder doors, trim, wainscoting, and hand rails in my 800 sq ft basement. The work environment was terrible with very little ventilation. I am not sure how they can handle the fumes! No contractor is perfect so I am always hovering to make sure they do the job correctly and up to my standards. I had a concern initially that the stain was not evenly applied in some areas. Robert immediately rectified the situation by removing the stain and reapplying it without a single complaint. The final job was amazing! I wish I could post a picture here because it would be worth a 1,000 words. The shade of the work does not perfectly match the cabinets but it is pretty darn close and will probably darken over time which will help it to match. The cabinets were done in a factory, not on site, so it would be almost impossible to get a perfect match. The work is stunning and that is an understatement. Guys that come and visit my man cave are almost speechless. I could not be happier. Helpful Hint: If you do a job like mine just make sure EVERYTHING is masked off. The spray gets everywhere! We used one of the windows with a fan to vent the basement and the outside of the window had a glaze of finish coat all over it. Nothing a razor blade wasn't able to fix but it could have been avoided if I had masked it. Everything else was successfully masked and made clean up relatively easy. If you are thinking about using Robert don't look any further. You will be very happy with the results!
