Survival Tree Service

When you first meet members of this company they are very nice .This company however is totally unreliable, they lied about what they would do. They won the bid by bidding $ 2700 for the three tree removal. Next closest bid was $ 2800.00 However they wanted more money and the job was about 90% completed. My choice than was to paid it or not it the work completed. Had they given me the correct bid they would have never been hired. They wanted full amount when the job was not complete. They were suppose to cut down my trees and Grind out stumps, which they never completed. They didn't grind two of those stumps. They damaged my shed and tried to hide it, They damaged 50' of fencing, damaged my satellite disk and my neighbors disk. They said they would be back the next morning but never showed up to finish the stumps grinding. They knew I had a concrete driveway being poured.I tried calling several time and left message. They did finally come back and finished one stump. They offered to refund $ 100.00 because that is what they over charged me on the bid. The owner stated he would fix the shed, he never did. The strange part about all of the damage they did I had asked "Kevin" the owner if anything need to be moved and he replied no he had plenty of room and this was just a standard job. I contact the wife "Jessica" who is the office manager and the excuses started, "this was a very difficult job, the shed was old and the neighbor's satellite disk was not mounted properly etc". "They couldn't grind all of the stumps" but they charged full price. People please don't trust these guys at all. I should of read the reviews on them on other sites before hiring them. I don't know how this company is still in business. They quoted a price and they did not stick to it. CAUTION STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

The guys that came out were very knowledgable about fire and insurance regulations for our area. They were great guys and worked very hard. We had several companies compete for the job but survival tree services quote was by far the most reasonable. I would recommend them to anyone. They are a veteran owned small business and it felt great knowing I was supporting our soldiers. We have since then used them again at one of our rental properties and will have more mitigation done this summer 2015.

Kevin at Survival Tree Service was my second quote of the day. He showed up on 05 May 14 about 10 minutes earlier than the time he told me he would be there, which was way better than the other company that was over 20 minutes late and the third company that was a no show. Kevin's quote came in at half that of what the other company was asking, and when we asked when he could start he said he could cut down the trees and haul away the brush immediately and return in the morning (06 May 14) to grind the stumps. He did what the other company told me would take hours with a crew in about an hour alone. He returned this morning on time to quickly take care of the stumps. His work was so quick and prices were so reasonable that I decided to ask him to cut down a fourth aspen in my back yard which he did in about 10 minutes. All together I had five trees cut down, five stumps ground down and the mess from all of that and three over sized juniper bushes hauled away for $245. Kevin is personable and punctual. I will definitely recommend him to other people and will be using his services again.
