Sew What

Superb! I looked for someone on Angie's List but the primary company listed for our area had a few problems in the past few years regarding the time it took to get machines back from their shop. I looked up sewing machine repair (luckily I had an old phone book as Mr. Gallagher no longer advertises in the yellow pages. So, I completely stumbled on this repair service by accident! I called Mr. Gallagher right after lunch on a Friday and he offered to be at my house the very next day at 10 a.m.! Wow!! Timely! He was here at 10 the next morning as promised. When we asked if he could fix the second machine, he agreed and even gave us $10 off the $80 per machine charge because we doubled the service we needed from him. We didn't ask for a discount as we thought the $80 charge was fair to begin with, but he still gave us a discount. Each machine took about an hour's effort. We found out that Mr. Gallagher had been trained by the Singer Sewing Machine Company in the early 70's. He has thousands of machine repairs worth of experience. Knowing I was going to put a review on Angie's List, I asked about new machines, surgers, etc. He fixes all those also. My husband and I were both impressed with the level of service provided by Mr. Gallagher and would not hesitate to call him again and to recommend him to anyone! Amazing level of service in this day and age.
