The woman (Kelly I'm assuming) listened to what work needed to be done. I asked for someone to come over to my house for an estimate. She said for work $250 and lower, no one would come over to the house. I asked her if she thought this work would be $250 or less and she said yes. I said that seemed lower than I thought so I made an appointment. When the electrician came over (Jason), he was very nice as my wife initially took him through the work. I came home about 10 min or so after he arrived and took him through the work again. By that time, he had already tightened the two loose receptacles. He said that the amount of work was higher than he was told by the office and said the quote would be closer to $300. I said he was ok to do the work. He worked quickly to complete all the work. It took 3 1/2 hours. One issue noted following the installation was that when the bidet heater kicked on, the lights in the bedroom and bathroom dimmed. He said that he would need to run a 20A circuit to stop that vs. continuing the line on the 15A circuit. He said to try LED lighting since that may resolve it since they take less power. I haven't tried that yet but will. With winter coming on, the dimming lights is annoying. The real negative review comes after I received the bill. The bill received was for $527! I called the office and spoke with Kelly. I relayed how I had called and taken her through the work. She admitted she thought that I only needed the ordinary receptacle replaced with a GFI and therefore the amount of work to "cut in" a new receptacle wasn't taken into account. I said that Jason confirmed the work would only be around $300 and she said he was quoting labor only and only she could quote total costs. How was I or anyone to know that? Why would a customer only want labor costs? I said that their policy of not coming out to see the work was bad since miscommunication can (and did) occur. She corrected me in saying that their policy is no will provide an in-person quote if under $1000. That's even worse! She asked me if I had received other quotes to compare to and I said no since her quote was so low. Why would I need other quotes? She then described her electrician labor costs to me which aren't my problem. I appeared to me as a classic bait and switch. If Jason was not authorized to provide a quote, and the work didn't appear to be the same as on his sheet, then he should have stated that I call the office to get a full quote. Once he gave me the quote, I took it on his word that was the quote. Why can't an electrician provide a quote? He knows his labor rate and the materials used. He should have been able to provide a detailed invoice right there. Long story short, this isn't done yet. Kelly stated she would attempt to work with me to reduce some of the costs and mentioned something like a $30 reduction. Not good enough! How about honoring the electrician's quote of $300? Not a good business practice to not visit someone's house to see the work and then throw out a bogus number to just get them to get you over to the house and then charge them whatever the real price is. I recommended some ways to provide quotes to customers to help her save on master electrician estimated costs but all that did was get her mad (I'm a manager and provide quotes all the time). Until they get this quote system sorted out, I do not recommend them since you don't know what the cost will be until the work is done. Jason did do good work and was very courteous. I do wish he would have thought to run the 20A circuit so the lights didn't dim. Otherwise, I have no issues with him. Kelly got upset when talking with her and said she will send me something she hopes will resolve the situation. I said that it needs to be close to the $300 to resolve it. We'll see.

I'd give them A's for all of the categories.  We found them because my husband knows the owner.  They're very professional and their communication was excellent.  I also have referred them for several jobs.

Excellent all around experience.  Jason came out to give me an estimate and I told him I had other estimates coming in and I would get back to him.   It turned out he was hundreds under the other lowest bidder and installed more electrical outlets and fixtures than the others would have.
The installers were great. They dug the trench to the barn, laid the line, crawled up into my attack to run the line to the main box, and installed everything in the barn in a few days.  They were all courteous, neat, and cleaned up after themselves.
I will definitely use them again in the future.

Rocky Mountain Electric is the only electrician I will call. I have had them do simple things like install an electric exhaust fan as well as replacing an electrical panel. They are very prompt and courteous and the price is always reasonable. When we sold our former house they did all the required electrical upgrades. They were originally referred to us by our realtor and they will always be first on my list to call if I ever need electrical work done.

My fire alarms were going off intermittently throughout the day. I could not figure out the problem. Rocky Mountain Electric tried to help me troubleshoot over the phone. When that was unsuccessful they promptly came out and trouble shooted the alarms and replaced the faulty ones.

The first two times we had them out, they did great work. They installed new wiring for a ceiling light in one room and installed a chandelier. They also installed new wiring in our bedroom and installed a ceiling fan. Then we had a problem where a circuit went out and wouldn't come back on, so I called and they came out within an hour (re-arranged their schedule for that day) and replaced some burnt out circuits on our panel. Then a while later, we heard crackling noises coming from inside the wall in the kitchen and we called them again, but they never returned our call. We called and left at least 3 detailed messages over the course of several weeks, and never heard back from them. They did good work for us, and we would use them again if they would call us back.

I spent about $139 on the job. They came with good recommendations. So, I used them. They were nearby, too. They gave me a discount because I was nearby. They responded quickly; I didn’t have to wait for weeks for them to come out. They made the appointment in the same week. They sent a woman over, who really knew what she was doing. She did two repairs for me. One of them was a little more difficult than the other, but she kept it. The repairs have been working fine ever since. She was pleasant and the price was reasonable. I would recommend everything about this company. I will use them again in the future.

Jason was extremely friendly, professional, and knowledgable. I have an uncle who is a master electrician, and was the one that actually recommended that I take Jason's bid, which was awesome also, and I am so glad that I did. His staff and help was the same also.... we still have a bit more work to go, but I can already say I am so glad that I went with Rocky Mountain Electrical! Everything is turning out great!!

I had just bought my first house, and there were definitely some electrical issues that needed to be addressed. I had never had electrical work done before, so I called several contractors. Rocky Mountain Electric was by far the most fair price in terms of the quality of work I would be getting. When Jason showed up at my house, he took the extra time to put foot covers on. He made me feel very comfortable about what work needed to be done, was extremely polite and professional, and gave me an estimate right there on the spot. I was extremely impressed. The work that was performed is amazing, and exactly what I wanted.
