Randy's Sprinkler

After getting multiple quotes I went with Randy for several reasons: 1) beautiful detailed hand drawn design 2) attention to details 3) artistic and unique ideas 4) enthusiasm and easy to get along with 5) recommendations from other neighbors 6) looked at previous work. I was also so pleased that out of all the quotes I received, my favorite one was also the cheapest by far. But not only did randy NOT cut any corners he went above and beyond my expectations. If you communicate with him well, you will get exactly what you want. His workmanship is outstanding. I don’t know what those other bad ratings were about In 2015 but in 2020 I can tell you that his paved patio and retaining wall work is unbelievably precise. I had him design something very special for my .4 acre lot and it is a dream come true. He did all my hard scape, irrigation, trees, plants, shrubs. And even some of my brickwork on my window wells. He is not a cookie cutter landscaper. the designer (Randy) is ACTUALLY there everyday to do the work and make sure it’s in exactly the way you and he envisioned it. He worked in all sorts of bad weather including snow and wind. He is honest and fair and will do his absolute best to get the job done well. He also takes pride in his work and it’s obvious it’s not just about money because he can actually charge a lot more for what he did in my yard. Call him for a design or a quote: big or small job this small company is well worth checking out. Very happy clients.

I hired Randy to design and install our backyard landscape after receiving bids from several other landscape contractors. Randy listened to what I WANTED to have in our backyard and then combined my wants with my drainage NEEDS for our backyard design. He was excited to work on my yard, he always showed up on time and he also worked around my schedule. Randy’s bid came in significantly less than the other bids we received and the final job included more than the other landscape companies. What I appreciate the most about Randy is that he has a passion for his business. He answers every text and phone call that I make, and addresses all of my concerns. My back yard is unique from my neighbors and he suggested options to me that I hadn’t thought of. I will definitely be using his services in the future. My yard is beautiful – I love it, my neighbors love it – and I paid a lot less for it!!

They were horrible. He didn't know what he was doing. I had to have the manager of another company on the phone with him to tell him how to put brick walls in. When I turned my back, he wouldn't do it the way it was supposed to be done. It took him three times longer to do the job than he said he would. There were a ton of mistakes made and every time, he would tell us it was his dumb workers. I don't feel like that's appropriate to say to your employees because they're direct reflection of you. He was dishonest about things. It was an overall unpleasant experience. He did not complete the walls the way they were supposed to, we had to hire somebody else to do it. He did a stone walkway and it is so uneven and just terrible. He wasn't the highest, he wasn't the lowest.

When I was shopping for a provider Randy offered me a better price than either of the other two companies I contacted. He also told me exactly what he would do for that price. I told him I would be looking over his shoulder so I could learn to do it for myself next fall. We agreed on a date and time for him to come.

One the day we had scheduled Randy called me about 1/2 hour before he was supposed to be at my house and told me he would be 30-45 minutes late. He asked if that would still work for me. I said that was fine. I appreciated both the courtesy of him calling, and him not assuming that whenever he showed up would work for me.

When he arrived he got right down to business. He explained every step as he went, and seemed happy to answer my questions. Randy seems to have done a good job. He was thorough, polite, and professional. When the job was done he only asked for the agreed upon price, no attempt at add-on charges. In fact, he did a little extra work and did not charge me for it. While we were walking around the yard together he noticed a couple of misting heads that had popped off. He trimmed the tubing and put on new heads at no charge, just because he wanted the system to work right.

I would highly recommend Randy to anyone to winterize their system.

Randy installed an addition to the sprinkler system in 2013. He and his crew did a fantastic job. They were on time, efficient and left the job site just as they had found it. We had Randy out this spring for the start up and tune up. I will continue to use Randy for any future landscaping jobs.

They did great. They're nice guys, friendly and professional. I would use them again in the future.

It went very well. He explained what he needed to do and he showed me what he was doing. His prices was very reasonable. He just did a great job. I've never had one quite that cheap. He was really on time. I plan to use him this spring to open up my lines again and check out my system.

I found Randy’s Sprinkler in the September issue of the Colorado Springs Premier Values magazine. I saw his ad a couple of months ago but unfortunately, someone else had already recommended to me a different lawn care company. So I called them and this particular company was not very eager to fix my sprinkler system until the spring. I decided I couldn’t wait that long and called Randy! He answered my call on the first ring and patiently listened to me explain how important it was for me to get my sprinkler system fixed so I could plant some grass seed now. He was pleasant to speak with over the phone, explained his pricing and said he would come to my home prepared to fix my sprinkler system ASAP. He came to my home only 2 days after we spoke and quickly went to work on my irrigation system! I spoke with him while he was working and he explained everything he was doing and how the pressure vacuum breaker worked to include explaining how the 2 nuts on it had to be re-tightened upon starting the system to prevent future leakage. He even used some of my good copper parts to save me money on costs and didn’t mind that I had new parts waiting for him from Home Depot upon his arrival (even encouraged it to save me $). Overall, I am extremely satisfied with his promptness, workmanship, and positive attitude! I am going to use him as my “lawn guy” in the spring and possibly beyond if I rent my home this summer. As you can see in the services he provided, he did quite a lot for me and is the most reasonable out there. He was $25 cheaper per hour compared to the first company who told me they would rather wait until spring to work on my system. Learn from my mistake, call Randy.
