Very expensive for a very crappy performance. Would love to know how to retract my previous review.

Pro Landscape and Design, owned by Don Holstead, caused a large amount of property damage when they landscaped my yard. They crashed their bobcat with the bucket raised into the corner of my house, damaging the trim, siding, and new rain gutter. I had to waste a lot of time hiring contractors to fix the damage. Don remimbursed me $1,100 for the repairs. They also cut a buried utility line which had been clearly flagged. They damaged my neighbor's lawn and broke one of their sprinkler heads, which they replaced. They damaged the fence of my other neighbor after I repeatedly warned them not to touch his fence. That neighbor was extremely angry about the damage. One of the expensive trees Pro planted subsequently died. A certified arborist and the owner of the tree farm where I bought the tree both agreed that Pro had planted the tree too deep, adding up to a half foot of mulch on top of the soil. That smothered the roots and killed the tree. Don said that it wasn't his fault that the tree died, and he refused to reimburse me $540 that I'd paid for the tree.

Don and his team are the best contractors we've ever hired. Don worked with us to plan out this large amount of work - and he met with us a few times before we even committed as he noticed we weren't sure on a few things. He kept us informed on when the work could be done - rain delayed projects before us - he let us know what would happen if the weather got better or not. The biggest difference we noticed was the planning ahead of time and the constant communication. He had all equipment and concrete trucks all planned well in advance so that the only delay we had on this enormous job was a gas pipe that my husband decided to add to the job at the last minute. No delays because of Don and his team at all. As a result - and even with my husband's last minute change - a huge amount of work was all done within a week and a half. Any other contractor we've used would have taken months with no communication, little planning, and shoddy work. Don's team cleaned up after themselves EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. to the point where I almost miss having them here because my yard was spotless. They did more work than what we had discussed because he assumed it was included and we weren't used to that! The sprinklers were all re-routed and fixed to accommodate all the landscaping and concrete changes without us having to ask. They also cleaned up flower beds that they didn't work on just because Don said they couldn't leave part of our yard looking undone when the rest looked so good. We've had concrete work completed before and now we see how it was supposed to be done and why we had cracks almost immediately on the old work. These guys do everything the right way and with high quality.

Don and his team completely exceeded my expectations. The attention to quality, detail, and timeliness was excellent. His team was careful, courteous, and sure to clean up after each day. I would highly recommend Don and will absolutely use him again for future landscaping projects.

Everything went well. We were apprehensive with hiring another landscaper as we had a nightmare of an experience with the first landscaper we hired when we first moved into our house and ndash; he actually ended up going to jail! However, Don and his crew for very professional, did the work as scheduled and even did some things we did not request and, therefore, did not pay for. Don's reasoning was and ldquo;he doesn't do hooptyand rdquo; he wants his work to speak quality. This translated into our being very satisfied with the end result, having the neighbors complement the work his crew did and a few referrals coming his way. The only reason I give the company a and ldquo;Band rdquo; in responsiveness is because they were literally in the middle of several other jobs and I kind of askedand hellip;OK pleaded may be a better word, for them to work us in. Therefore, sometimes we wanted to ask a question but we had to be patient and understand Don's people were being stretched thin as it were. However, he bought at least twice the guys I was expecting to the job the first day to get a good jumpstart on the projects and his crew literally worked in rain or shine.

Great job! He listened to our design ideas and created a great looking landscape for us.

He is very efficient. He came out and got a lot of work done for me in a short people of time. He completely redid the flower beds in the front with fresh soil and new mounds. When he re-did the sprinkler system in the front near the flower bed, he made it to accommodate the flowers and give them a light spray. He is very knowledgeable.
