Wow, Shelley is great.  Really smart, and knows the real estate business inside and out.  We bought/sold 10 homes over the past 35 years and she was the best agent we ever had.  She proactively kept on top of everything having to do with the transaction.  If something was moving slightly in the wrong direction or had the potential to create a difficult situation for us, she was right on top of it.

Some other real estate agents kind of turned me off, but she's really customer friendly.

Ron started working with us in March when we first contacted him on recommendation from a friend. We told him what we were looking for and our budget, and he referred us to a lender to get preapproved for a mortgage so he could start looking for potential properties for us. He has a great website that he gave us access to so we could look for property info on our own, and it also sent us email notifications whenever a new property that met our criteria was listed. We came to look at properties in late March, which was a little early for our June move, but we wanted to get a feel for the area. We spent 2 days looking at properties, but left town without having made a decision. Ron kept us updated on any new listings while we considered the properties we had already seen, and eventually we did make an offer on a property he had shown us. That's where the real work started for him, as we requested multiple inspections on the property (home, septic, well, roof, etc). Ron was present for some of the inspections on our behalf, since we were out of state, and each inspection turned up something that needed addressing. Ron spent many hours going back and forth between us and the sellers' agent to resolve all the issues that came up, and in the end everything was resolved and we closed on time. But Ron didn't stop there - he has had amazing follow-up, checking on us when we first got into town, then a week or so later, and again a month after we'd been here. Ron has years of experience, and it shows - he knows how to get the job done, how to work through snags, and does it all in a very professional manner. He is also personable and understanding - buying a home is not without stress, and Ron listened to our concerns and asked us how we wanted to handle certain issues to make sure that our worries were put to rest. For example, we needed a more in-depth roof inspection, and Ron had us write out exactly what we wanted the engineer to report on, so that our specific concerns were not lost in translation. He also has an office manager, Liz, who handles a lot of the paperwork, but is also very knowledgeable herself. If she couldn't answer a question, she was able to get an answer from Ron very quickly. This is important, because realtors generally have more than one client at a time, and if they don't have an assistant or a team, you could be waiting a long time for a response sometimes. We may be looking for investment properties in the future, and I would definitely use Ron as my realtor again!

Our realtor has been phenomenal. They have been very patient and showed up many homes until I found the right one and has been a joy to work with.
