Piano Tunings By Dave

Dave has been tuning my piano for a couple of years now. He always makes recommendations on work that can be done to improve the sound, and I have learned to follow his advice. Yesterday he stretched some strings that were tight, improving the length of the tone. He also voiced some keys that were not producing the best sound. Then he tuned it, and WOW!

Dave has been tuning my piano for the last few years. He does a wonderful job and always has great suggestions on how to help my piano sound better and last longer. I am a piano teacher and recommend Dave to all of my students.

I absolutely loved Dave. He definitely is very talented at what he does. My piano was extremely put of tune and he fixed it up and now it sounds beautiful. I will definitely be calling him again in the spring to do my next tuning.

I have used Dave for several years. He is very knowledgeable, professional, and explains what he is doing to tune and fix my piano. I am particularly pleased with his balancing of the piano keys--something he had suggested several times and I finally decided it would be worth some work. I am thrilled with the difference in the key action on my piano. This work is complicated and takes a lot of perseverance to make happen--not that many piano tuners even know how to do this service. If you have a piano with heavy key action, Dave could probably fix this for you. He is professional and does the work with high quality. I am very satisfied with his work.

I called Dave to tune a piano that I recently inherited from family in Illinois. Dave was very kind and professional. He took the time to clean years of debris from the inside of the piano, as well as clean the keys and exterior. Dave was able to drastically improve the sound of the piano, as well as make several other recommendations for repairs and updating that will improve the performance and sound in the future. I can't believe the difference I feel when playing my piano.  The keys all play evenly with an equal amount of pressure.  It's fun to play again, and my playing sounds so much better.  My piano was used when I bought it 20 years ago, and this is the first time that it has been regulated to factory specs since I've owned it.  I'm very pleased with Dave's work.  It's wonderful having someone I can trust to tune and repair my piano when needed.

Dave managed to make our 40+ year old piano sound better than it has in years (if not ever!). The work required took hours to perform. Dave completely balanced the key actions and brought the piano into concert pitch. We couldn't be happier and would strongly recommend Dave to anyone with a piano.

This is the second time that Dave has tuned my piano.  The first was about a year ago, after another person had tuned it, but ruined the tone.  He was recommended to me by my piano teacher.   I don't know what he did, but he was able to restore the tone, almost back to what it was before.  (I purchased this piano because I loved the tone).    He does a great job tuning.  Explains everything to me that he is doing.  I will have him back again as he does a great job and knows what he is doing.  Personable and just a nice guy.

Dave is the best!  Dave was so good that when I came from the other side of the house I thought I was hearing the audio system playing, but it was my wife playing our piano.  Dave was so courteous, meticulous and professional in every way.  Dave tuned our 1972 Baldwin upright, that was terribly out of tune and has been with us through several moves.  We can not say enough good things about Dave and his service!

Dave provided excellent service on my upright piano. He was thorough and explained to me how the piano was tuned, unique features of my piano, possible concerns to keep an eye on, and fixed my humidifier which had been neglected by other piano tuners. The piano was tuned a couple of years ago by someone else and never did sound quite right. Dave got it in tune, addressed the issues, and it sounds so wonderful to play! And, he was great with my dogs, too. I highly recommend Dave!

Dave promptly responded to my email to answer questions and schedule tuning.  He showed up and was thorough in his tuning.  He effectively described and demonstrated what was broken / missing, fixed items on the spot and was very friendly.  His prices were very competitive too.  I was very happy with his services and highly recommend him.

I just spent the morning playing my grandmother's 100+ year old piano, after Dave finished working on the action, keys, felts, hammers, and much more.  It plays so beautifully!  The best it has in many, many years.  He took his time and explained everything that was needed, showing me examples along the way.  He pointed out some things that could be done, and some that might need to be done down the road, but did not encourage me to repair anything that we didn't really need to do.  I appreciate that, as he is keeping me informed, but not trying to get me to spend unnecessary money!  I cannot recommend Dave highly enough.  I will be using his services as long as I live in Colorado Springs.
