I’ve used them four times now since I’ve been in the Springs area. Each of their crews have been great and very helpful every time. I was not prepared at all and they ended up taking care of all the packing that I was not able to get done when they moved me from my apartment to my house without any issue. They have also packed moved my grandmother twice and then we had them come back and do junk removal for her as well. They’ve always been great with protecting and taking care of her antiques. When I buy a house next year, I will definitely also be using them again.

So the one star is due to the fact that I called way in advanced and requested a quote. Once I received a call I decided to go with Peace of Mind and gave them a deposit with a credit card which was charged immediately. Prior to the Monday of me moving I did not receive a notification or reminder so I decided to send a text on Sunday confirming my move the following day. The next day, which was Monday, the day of my move 9:30am rolled around and still no calls. So I reached out to the number that I provided when making my reservation and the guy that took my order answered and said “he had no record of my move” then when I asked why he did not respond to my text form the day before he said “we don’t check our phones on Sunday”. Ok well I accept that but how about the 2 hours he was in the office drinking coffee that morning!!! He scrambled around and found 2 movers that showed up 2 1/2 hours late in a truck that had most of the paint missing, seriously you could not even read their logo. The only saving grace was the lead mover was very nice, Fernando I think his name was. Since I knew it was not his fault I did tip both drivers. BUT what really irks me is that the guy that “took the reservation” and I use that term very loosely, did not even discount my move, the customer service was horrible and he completely dropped the ball. My 2 1/2 hour move cost me close to $500.00!!!! I rarely write reviews and I have been waiting to see if perhaps I would get a call back and given a discount but once again the guy at Peace of Mind let me down again. So now I will be posting this review literally everywhere I can!! Bottom line, I do not recommend this company.

At the time of your move, we did not operate on Sundays, which is why your confirmation text was not responded to until the next morning. Unfortunately, we experienced a system crash that morning, which temporarily prevented us from accessing our job schedules for a few hours. Once we were able to retrieve the details, we worked quickly to accommodate your move. While we understand your frustration, we were only about 45 minutes late beyond the window provided. The move itself was completed in approximately 3.5 hours, not 2.5, and our team worked diligently to ensure that everything was handled carefully and efficiently. Given that the move was completed successfully and within a reasonable timeframe, we did not feel it was appropriate to offer a refund for half of the total bill, as requested. We appreciate your feedback and will continue to work on improving our processes to ensure the best possible service for all our customers. Thank you again for your time and understanding."

Perhaps you could book this company if you have time and a lot of patience to spare. But if you're on a schedule and responses within a decent time window, this is *not* the company for you. They'll give you a about a day's range for the move but won't set a time range. They also claim that most moving companies don't set time ranges, which is definitely not the case-- most companies will at least confirm that they'll arrive in the am or pm. On top of this they don't have a deposit policy. So if you need to go with a back-up company because of timing issues, consider your deposit gone. They're friendly, but they're not punctual in the least. You might have to wait until the day after your booking for a move.

Unfortunately, you canceled the morning of the move, and per our policy, same-day cancellations do not qualify for a refund of the deposit. These movers were phenomenal! My husband and I have moved five times in 10 years, and this is the best moving company we’ve ever hired. They did things for us that other companies didn’t (such as reassembled our bed, wrapped all of our furniture, padded the doorways and rails to stairwells). They were personable and friendly. Numerous times on moving day, I heard them say, ”We’re here to make you happy.” They even said, “Our first job is to make you happy and our second job is to move your stuff.” And they did a great job with both! We’re planning to be in our new house for a while, but we’ll definitely call them if/when we need movers again.
