I hired Mr. Wistrand on the basis of acquaintance, a bad idea. He came out, looked at my rental property, and a few days later, came back with a bid to fix the foundation (it is rock, and the mortar was crumpling due to tree damage) and a separate bid to fix rotting soffit and fascia boards on the house and primer them to prep for paint. He came in with a great bid, which I accepted. This was the easy part. On the first of December, he called me because he needed cash to buy the materials to do the job, as he was unequipped to take my credit card, I took a cash advance on it, and gave him $1083.89 in cash, for which I got a receipt. This is all I got afterward except for excuses on why the work wasn't being done (in fairness, a rather nasty cold snap came through shortly after I paid him). I asked for proof of licensing and bonding, and was promised same from a gentleman who never called me or offered any such proof. When the weather finally cleared after Christmas, and the work could be done, I made many calls and placed emails to get him to do the promised work. My calls go direct into voice mail and are not returned, and my emails are ignored. I am in the process of considering criminal and civil action against this provider. I would recommend that anybody considering doing business with Mr. Dan Wistrand would check his rating on the Colorado Springs BBB first, and then consider my experience.
