ORECK

In late February, I took my vacuum to Oreck on North Academy Blvd because it stopped in the middle of vacuuming. They determined it needed a new hose (controls are in the handle of the hose) and they needed to order it. When I got a call 3 days later and was told the the replacement hose would cost $168.00. I told them it was a lot of money and I needed to think about it. I was told I had 10 minutes to make up my mind. I told them to forget it, I paid only $174.00 for the vacuum and I will pick it up. He said "Gee, I thought you liked the thing". I took the vacuum to "Griggs Vacuum" on Colorado Avenue, they tested the hose assembly and found nothing wrong with it. Upon further testing they found a short in a little wire in the brush assembly. It cost $19.95. Had Oreck Vacuum replaced the hose for $168.00 my vacuum still would not have worked.
