We went with On the Move because they had a good review on Angie's List. The cost started out at 2500. Firstly, they weren't on time. When he came the first time, he told us that his trucks were in the shop and that he'd have to rent some trucks. Because of that we'd have to pack up Friday and move Saturday. So he said they'd start Friday but wouldn't be able to work as long, because of the truck thing. So they worked maybe about 3 1/2 hours Friday instead of a full day. They were supposed to get it all done Friday and then load the truck and move it Saturday. So they said they'd be back Saturday to finish up the job. They rang and said because they couldn't get the trucks until Sunday they'd have to move Sunday. So they came down on Saturday and started packing and again, they didn't get there until 10am because they came down from Colorado Springs, and they left at 1pm, and the house was obviously still not packed! They said they'd be down Sunday morning, and they had two trucks that they had rented. They said they'd be there early, but it was about 9.30 when they showed up. Right away there was a bunch of drama going on between the workers. When we asked what was happening, the Owner had forgotten to bring the keys to unlock the back part of the truck! We thought at the time this wasn't a good beginning but we were being accommodating. They were trying to figure out how to break the lock off, and by this point there was real hostility between the workers and the Owner, the workers were furious with him. It was our neighbor who got the lock off with a power hacksaw that he had. So there went, I guess, an hour. It went on and on. And in the afternoon they said to us we didn't know you had so much stuff and we are not going to be able to move everything you have in these two trucks, we can't fit it in. So we're going to have to take a load up, and then bring a truck back down to get the rest of the stuff. So I had to go to the new house and my husband had to stay at the old one. Then it got so late that we had to stay one at each end. At 9.30 I went to the hotel and left my stepdaughter here with the credit card, and we had worked out the agreement what the price would be. It was 12.30 early morning before they finished. My stepdaughter had to 'hold their feet to the fire' to make sure they placed everything where it should be in the house. Then they said it was $300 more than the price they had agreed with my husband in Pueblo. Originally we were going to give them half cash and half check. So we gave them cash in Pueblo for the first part. We were going to put the remainder on the credit card and they weren't happy about that. The guy said you'll have to pay 4% more. My husband said we'd pay that 4%. We did tell them we weren't paying for the extra trip to Pueblo, the extra gas, the extra time. We want to be fair and right but we're not going to be ripped off. We knew they broke an armoire because they told us when they were moving it upstairs. But they didn't unload it before they tried to move it - they didn't even take the drawers out! I've never seen such a dreadful job of packing in my life. They shoved all my clothes in small boxes. They shoved stuff in the wardrobes until they were absolutely full. They didn't wrap the dining room table and the top is destroyed. I had 45 year old china that had no damage that got chipped. My heirloom glassware is chipped. We can't get him to respond. He disputed us on the $300. They were not careful with our things, they were careLESS.

they arrived right on time, and i didnt see them even stop for a moment. the only break the movers had was when they drove the truck to the new house. they were hard workers.

Job took 2 days. Two trucks and 4 total men. First day went much better than 2nd day. The workers seemed tired and bored the 2nd day and were not as careful with the furniture the 2nd day as the supervisor on the job changed and the 2nd supervisor demanded less from the men. Owner of the company showed up for about 20 minutes the first day and did not show up at all the 2nd day. After the move, several items were damaged and the owner was not too motivated to take care of the problems until my husband got nasty with him. The owner finally fixed all the damages but I would not use this company again. The owner was very responsive about getting us a quote and getting our business but I felt as though he was giving us the cold shoulder when we asked for the damages to be fixed. It was slow coming after all payments were made.

They were the cheapest prices that I found when I called many different companies. They never broke anything and they were on time and the owner is very hands and supervises the project himself. He helped us move heavy stuff for a small fee and he did not charge fuel costs it was just a flat rate.
