He's friendly, we joked around about things while he worked, and he taught me a couple of things about propane tank valves that I didn't know. He checked my tanks for defects, and filled them to a full 20 lbs, not just 15 like the tank exchanges do.

It was a very positive experience. They've filled my tanked and sent me on my way. They are very safe and they carried my tank to and from the car. It was quick, so it was fine.

I have used Old Town to fill my propane tanks for over ten years. I probably fill 3-4 tanks per year. They might be a little opinionated and may come off as rude to someone who is not a Westsider or is a tree hugger, but I like that. They know there stuff when it comes to propane and unlike the propane swap places ( Blue Rhino) they actually inspect your tank and look for any safety issues and will usually give a good safety or grilling tip with each fill. Their prices are a good value because they are based on the actual amount of pounds you have filled.

Very few times in my life I have felt pre-judged and discriminated against, but it happened here. Not only that, they didn't have anything close to what I was needing. I expected parts and supplies, but Old Town Propane is nothing more than a propane tank filling station. From the moment I walked in, to when I left, this guy was a real piece of work. I'll give you a little example. I had taken photos of particular pieces of my grill I was trying to fit, namely, the gas modulator or manifold. He stopped me right there and said, and quot;I don't want to see you *++$#@ phone. Everyone has those $#%and $ things the pictures are too small, I can't see the pictures. Everyone brings those stupid %$%and # phones in here and I simply won't look at them...and quot; That's just a little sampling...

So, not only was he demeaning, rude, and disrespectful, his language was lock-in-step with his attitude - FOUL!

It probably looked like I kept my cool, but in truth, I simply was taken aback, speechless. I could see and hear his family members chuckling to themselves and shaking their heads (almost saying, and quot;whatta gonna do?and quot;). So, rather than waste any more of my time, I left.

In the end, he had no advice or parts that I could use. Absolutely I would suggest anyone who believes in good service and ethical businesses, those who help people and have integrity... NOT use Old Town Propane for anything at all. There are other businesses out there who provide propane and I strongly suggest using anyone else even if it takes you out of your way or cost more.
