From ordering with Katie, who listened to our wants and needs, helped us pick out the perfect carpet, to the install with Pedro, it was wonderful! Pedro showed up on time. Asked questions about where we wanted him to move our furniture and made sure he put it back where it came from. He vacuumed the carpet and left professional cleaning marks as if I had a maid come in and done the work. He cleaned up all the old carpet and padding and even sprayed our sub floor with some of his own professional spray because our elderly dog had been peeing on the old carpet. I would ask for Pedro again if I ever needed to have carpet installed!

I was very happy with the results. Bev, the sales/design consultant was helpful on tile selection. She also did a good job of communicating and coordinating to get answers to all my questions. Edin and his installation team were very professional. He selected the perfect location to connect the heating floor wires to the electrical system and to place the thermostat (actual electrical connections were performed by an electrician that I employed separately). After a year of use, I am very happy with the heated floor for winter and the cool tiles for summertime. The floor upkeep is so much easier with porcelain tile, rather than carpeting. The project greatly improved the appearances of the master bath/closet area and the jack-and-jill bath.

The sales associate (Lisa Palmer) at the store was wonderful. Gave us lots of advice and help in choosing the right quality/price carpet for our home. The installation was great. Overall a really good experience and we will be purchasing carpet from them for our other bedrooms in the future.

O'Briens installed carpet and flooring in my (rental) house two years ago and that went well. Included in that was a warranty to stretch the carpet once without charge. Two years later, the carpet needs stretching and it took months to get that scheduled (according to O'Briens, there's been a change of personnel in Scheduling and the new person has been slow to get up to speed). Then O'Briens quoted $125 - stating that there was no warranty for a rental property.
After weeks of scheduling efforts (numerous calls to O'Briens - most unreturned), they showed up today (about two hours later than originally promised) and quoted $250. I was ready to agree to that, but they then demanded immediate payment. I was "on the road" and don't travel with my credit card (for that rental); O'Briens refused to bill me and again demanded immediate payment - WHY didn't they tell me that before when I could have paid (in advance)?
So I cancelled the service and have already received a quote from another vendor for much less.
O'Briens didn't honor the warranty, took months to schedule the job, reneged on the estimate and demanded immediate payment. I won't be using O'Briens again.

My property is in another state, so I wanted to go with the company I felt most comfortable with. Bev at OBrien's emailed regularly, provided pictures promptly, and was thoroughly professional. I felt comfortable and safe going with them even thought I could not see what was happenning before hand. Thanks for helping me get tenents into my house as fast as possible!

I can highly recommend them and they were good. I like that they have a designer who will help you pick out your flooring and carpet. Her name is Beverly. She is really helpful in picking out the colors and the quality of the carpet and the tile. They did a really good job. They did it on a short notice too. The carpets looked beautiful. It’s a good quality. The linoleum flooring is good quality. I had an excellent interaction with them. I had no problems. You pay for quality and service. I needed the job done in one week. Two teams came out and worked the same day.

First I contacted O'Brien's through Angie's list. After a very prompt response I went to the showroom and met Janae. She was amazing. Attentive to my needs, courteous and a pleasure to work with. She showed me several options and expressed the differences between them. Layer she came to measure the place and get an estimated cost. I did go with a higher end carpet for the durability and stain resistance. Afterward the installers came within 3 days of deciding my course of action. My main installer was Noel and he was awesome. They came at the allotteallottedtime frame and got right to work. The whole job took about 4.5-5 hours. The work they did was amazing. I don't even know where the seams in the carpet are. I could not be happier and I have already referred my family and friends to O'Brien's. Keep up the outstanding work

O'Briens was wonderful. I had surgery and could not get out, so Janae came to our house, measured the room, and arranged for the installation of new carpet. Could not have wished for a better experience.

I don't like looking at a bunch of different swatches and picking out carpet. Explained what I was looking for and showed Lisa the color of the walls. She showed me 2 samples that met my criteria and I picked one. In and out in 15 minutes. They called the night before to give me a time range to know when to expect the installers. This morning they called again to further narrow down when they would arrive. They showed up on time and worked until they were done.

All went very well. We purchased the carpet at the North Academy location. Dan'elle, the Sales & Design Consultant we dealt with, was very friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. She clearly described the products and options, made valuable suggestions, and helped us find just the carpet and pad that we wanted. The two installers were friendly, prompt and efficient, carefully moving furniture, removing the old carpet and installing the new. We're delighted with the new carpet and were very pleased with the entire process. (We rated the "Price" "B" only because we don't know how it compares with other companies. We wanted a quality carpet from a trusted source, so we dealt only with O'Brien's.)

O'brien's pays lip service to excellent service and quality but in the end they didn''t deliver for me. ?Their installer was deceptive about color choice for my hardwood refinish, and tried to dissuade me from choosing my selection of "medium brown." ?When I didn't select the color he offered, he applied it anyway without my knowledge and consent. ?He led me to believe he had finished the floor underneath the stove and pushed it out about two inches which made it difficult to detect that it had not been finished. ?He botched the bathroom floor and downstairs area which is discolored now and blotchy. ?There are areas that are blanched or now have no color and other areas that look orangey. ?Sanding at the edges was sloppy and is noticeably incomplete. ?When I called to complain, they sent out another installer who told me I had "nutmeg" on my floor which is a lighter golden brown. ?I had specifically told the first installer I didn't want "nutmeg" and requested "medium brown" multiple times. ?The second installer told me the darker colors are harder to apply. When I told the sales rep that the color looked lighter than medium brown and asked her to verify it, she said you can't tell because all colors look differently on floors. ?O'brien's made excuses and responded with an emotional appeal when I complained: ?"you said you liked that color" and "he worked really hard for you." ?I couldn't trust them to do the color right so I did not ask them to redo it. ?In addition, they put me low on the priority list to fix their mistakes and I had to wait a week without my stove connected for them to come out (after I complained) and spend 15 minutes putting the final coat of poly on the floor. ?They made me wait another week without my stove for them to put it back. ?They told me fine details don't matter if I'm looking at them too closely. ?All of the flaws are noticeable from a standing vantage point. ?They took about 3 weeks to do a job incorrectly and that should have been completed in 3 days. ?They didn't offer to compensate me in any way. ?In addition, they were very sloppy and left layers of sawdust in my garage along with poly footprints. ?I finally had to tell them not to come back. ?I ?am happy that people are pleased with their carpet installation and would guess they are more reputable in this area of service than with hardwood. ?They should stay away from hardwood installation and refinishing until they have reviewed their business practices and increased their skills. ?I used the location on North Academy. ?
