The work was excellent. I live 4 miles north of Divide, and had a hard time finding anyone that would come this far from Colorado Springs. I have had it with roofing companies, and most other contractors in Teller County so I wanted to hire someone who would actually show up and do good work. Ward Moore owner and operator returned my call almost immediately, and set up a date and time for the estimate. He arrived when agreed, and gave an honest estimate. Other companies I contacted either never returned my call, or showed up for the estimate, but never submitted one. Mr. Moore and I set up a date and time for the work. He arrived on time each day, and worked until the afternoon thunderstorms would start. He completed the work on time, cleaned up after himself, and left me with 5 new very nice Velux skylights. While the work was being performed, he made sure everything below where he was working was covered to insure there would be no damage to our furniture. Before he would leave for the day, he made sure there would be no water leakage if it rained before the next day. Mr. Moore was very personable and easy to talk to. He listened to my questions and concerns, and worked with me on my ideas. I even asked him to do some woodwork to repair water damage from one of my old skylights. Again, he did an excellent job. I feel that I could not have done better, and I would not hesitate to use Mr. Moore again if I ever needed any roof repairs.

Ward - Very responsive to my inquiry.  Suggested repairing versus replacement and trade offs to just repairing.
He quickly returned a replacement quote and we worked on a begin date (dodging snow days in CO isn't easy).  for the 2 day project.  Ward and team showed up promptly, cleared snow off the roof area so they could work (Thanks Ward!) and two days later the project was complete.  Our room is bright, glowing and water free now!
I would highly recommend Ward and his team of professionals for any skylight work!

Wade and his son arrived promptly and started working immediately.  The skylight was replaced within a few hours (in the hot sun).  They cleaned up afterwards and were a pleasure to have working at my home.

Fantastic!  We love our new skylights!  Ward was a joy to work with, just an all-around nice guy.  He was able to remove some old, stuck, dome-type skylights, clean up the area, then re-flash and install new skylights.  He also replaced the shingles around the skylights.  These new skylights make our room seem so much bigger.  Ward was easy to get a hold of, returned calls promptly, and did what he said he would.  I can't ask for more than that.

I called Ward yesterday when I noticed that there had been damage to my roof. A tile had broken loose and fell onto a lower section of my roof, causing additional damage.  NOTE: I had used Ward to repair some damage to another section of my roof in January, 2009 and working with him at that time was terrific.  He answered his phone, I told him what had happened, and he told me he was snowshoeing up in the mountains, and that I should call back and leave my contact info for him.  He told me he'd be home today and check his jobs.
Anyway, I contacted two other roofing companies to do some comparison shopping, One company told me that they could send an estimator out on Monday, the other company told me they would get in touch with one of their Project Managers and have him/her give me a call.  In any event, Ward called me back bright and early this morning (naturally, I missed his call).. So, I returned his call.  He  told me that he was over that the neighborhood Home Depot, and that he'd be happy to come by and see what things looked like.  Note: I had several replacement tiles that I had kept in my basement.  He came by, told me what his minimum charge would be (it had gone up some since '09 - no surprise there) and he gave me a reasonable estimate on the spot.  He also said that he could fix it right then...  It was a "no-brainer' for me..  A good price, and probably one of the highest quality guys that I have used to work on my home..  So, we agreed, he got started...  and about 1 1/2 hours later he had packed up his truck and was heading home.
He did some extra work on the replacement tiles to make sure they would not come loose, and I was VERY PLEASED.   It turns out  that my neighbor Terry knows Ward personally and professionally, and we saw her later this afternoon after Ward had taken off.  Terry is an Insurance Adjuster.  She told us that we had used the best roofer in the business as far as Work Quality, Responsiveness, etc.  She couldn't say enough good things about him.  SO, if you are interested in someone climbing up on your Roof, I'd recommend Ward...   Terry also commented on his Skylights as well...  Excellent work there too.

Absolutely fantastic service from Ward! He answered the call when I first contacted him on Wednesday, and was able to come and give me an estimate within two hours! Talk about quick turnaround time! He spent almost two hours trying to see if the flashing needed replaced, and wound up on the roof, in the attic crawl space, everywhere! Very thorough job!
He was able to get the parts and make the replacement the very next day, and now we have a bright, dry bathroom again!

Contractor was professional and pleasant to deal with from the first contact on. Abram showed up on time, honestly appraised the problem and offered suggestions as to what was causing the old skylight to leak.
He then advised me as to the best course of action, a custom skylight vs a standard size, and explained the reasoning behind that suggestion.
Once we agreed on a course of action the skylight was ordered, manufactured, delivered and installed in a timely fashion. On completion the room with the skylight was cleaned and returned to good condition.
I would not hesitate to recommend this company.

We had a skylight that would crust with ice on the inside on cold days, then melt and drip on the floor and furniture. We did not know if we needed to replace the skylight or have it repaired in some way. When we called Mountview Skylights, Ward Moore, the President, talked to us for 10 to 15 minutes asking us questions on the skylight and the problems we were having. We made an appointment and Ward came to look at the sklylight. The final analysis was that the skylight should be replaced. Ward explained what he was going to do and what problems he might run into. The day prior to the installation, Ward was very proactive and came to the house to sweep the snow off of the roof where he would be working so that the roof would dry and it would be safe to work to prevent delay in the installation. The next day, Ward was there when he said he would be, placed a tarp on the floor in the room below the skylight, removed the old skylight, scraped off old sealing materials and debris, primed and painted the wood that would be showing, installed the skylight, cleaned up inside and out. Ward was meticulous about keeping the area clean. Ward is a true professional and there were no surprises. We would highly recommend Mountview Skylights due to Ward's professionalism, personal demeanor and great work. The skylight is such an improvement over the old one too!

NOTHING! I called based upon Angies list reviews and spoke with owner Ward. He ws very nice and took my name and numbers. He was out of town and assured me that his son would contact me. After not hearing from his son for days I called Ward back. He stated that he would ask his son to call me. My husband shortly there after told me that his son just called and he would be out Thursday. He never showed or called. Its been a week since then and no one has contacted us to apologize or reschedule. Waste of our time and we still have a leaky roof!

I received quotes from 2 different companies.
I selected Mountview Skylights and Roof Repairs because of:
1. Knowledge of Product
2. Specifics of quality installation (not just taking the old ones off, but bringing mounting surface up to standards)
3. Respect for my property (Ward put down some padded boards to walk on the tile roof, whereas the other company representative walked on the tile and broke some.)
4. Unlike other companies, Ward did not "bad-mouth" others.
5. I felt comfortable and safe with having Mountveiw Skylights personnel in my home.
From quotation to finish, the job was completed in less than a week!
Ward did what was promised.
Cost was exactly as quoted with no additional costs.
He protected my home by putting tarps down to protect my carpets, flooring and furniture.
Ward even replaced two roof tiles (at NO cost) that another company's estimator had broken.
He explained the warranty for installation and product warranty.
This company is top notch and I would definitely recommend them for skylight installation and roof repairs.

I can't say enough good things about Guardian Roof Repairs. I called Guardian because they had previously installed two skylights for me in 2003 and I suspected I had a leak around two unassociated vents in the roof. The workmanship of the skylights and the installation was excellent and they have never leaked. I recently had a different company give me an estimate for a new roof and they also commented that the skylight installation was excellent. This prompted me to call Guardian again because I had a small persistent leak not associated with the skylights which needed attention. Ward came out and inspected the vents and provided calking around them to correct the leakage. I was out of town so he took a picture of the vents and sent it to my phone and called me as well. Guess what?! He didn't charge me for the work. Really! Guardian Roof Repairs is the BEST!
