Description of Work: I don't recall exact dates, as it was my son's car, and the vehicle is now long gone. I believe it was 2011. The car had problems that required a series of diagnostics, before it could be determined what needed repair. There was no charge for the vehicle sitting at Academy's location for over a week to complete the diagnostics. Once the problem was located and repaired, the end cost was well below any competitor's estimates. Later that year, the car was going to need a transmission replacement, which would have cost about $2800. As that was not possible, do to our financial circumstances at the time, the difficult decision was made to do a voluntary repossession of the car. This vehicle turned out to be a huge lemon, and my son wanted to get what he could out of it, for all the issues it had caused. As my son had just put $600 tires on it, he decided to purchase old tires to swap out with the new ones, so the new ones could be sold to recoup some of his expenses. Academy's owner allowed the vechicle to sit on his lot until that could be done, and the was no charge to do so. Kevin (our mechanic at the time) was always courteous, competent, compassionate, and knowledgeable. He was very patient and understanding of our circumstances, and never treated us with anything but respect. The fact that Academy Auto is a Christian-based business is greatly reflected in the way they treat their customers--like human beings, not dollar signs. I would highly recommend their services to anyone.
