Lu's Construction

Our old kitchen and laundry room needed an update and Jason from LU construction was able to come up with a wonderful plan to maximize the space in a way that it will make the room feel much bigger. His excellent suggestions and ideas of rearrange the space was much better than any idea that we could think of. He completely understood what we wanted / needed and his suggestions for floor, back splash and appliances were all perfect. He provided us with great recommendations for vendors and more than that, he joined us to all the places where we could see and check the options of the main things such as appliances, materials and more. His work proved us that no detail was too small for him and the perfection is in fact the main goal. Throughout the process and work, Ori and the workers were very professional and polite while listening to all of our comments and concerns and they were very good at handling any problem to remove any stress from us. We couldn't imagine having done the remodel without Him. We highly recommend Jason and LU construction.

Lu provided us with guidance on locations to look for our cabinets, fixtures, plumbing and tile. She made sure everything was ready to go before beginning the project. The time from start to finish was 6 weeks.

Lu provided guidance during our project to get us ready to go. Prior to beginning the project she made sure the sub contractors and cabinets were in place in order to get the project done quickly. We had a large project including removing flooring , a false ceiling, all the cabinets and appliances in the kitchen. An opening was made with a counter top put in to gain access to the dining room Air ducts and plumbing were moved. We had new flooring put down and it was laced in to match the dining room and entry way. Cabinets, back splash, new sink, counter tops and appliances were installed. New electrical outlets and multiple lights were installed. Lu helped us find new doors to the backyard and the laundry room and installed a new window in the kitchen to let in more light yet ensure privacy when wanted. The laundry room was not heated prior to the remodel, Lu suggested an heated floor to help make sure the pipes would not freeze in the winter. Our home is 100+ years old, the floor slopes yet her professional staff were able to make it all work. During the process Lu was available to us and helped us navigate any changes that were needed and offered advice when we asked. We love our new kitchen, dining area and laundry room!!!

Lu supervised and coordinated all work: visiting several times daily to plan the day's work with employees or contractors, and later checking on the day's work; always meeting and introducing us to first-time visiting contractors and employees. Prior to any remodel activities commencing, Lu ensured that all ordered fixtures were delivered, inspected for damage, and on-site (we stored items in the garage). An exception was the vanity cabinetry, which was promised to be delivered a few days after work started. Per our request, the remodel work was done in two one-week segments with no work during an intervening week while we were out of town. A big surprise occurred when the vanity cabinetry arrived: the drawer modules were the proper height, but the sink cabinets were 4.5 inches too short, and the local cabinetry dealer had just gone out of business without warning. After several alternatives were discussed involving returning cabinets with much delay, Lu suggested some carpentry to extend the heights of the sink cabinets and getting (the correct) taller replacement doors from the cabinet company. This worked out very well, Lu coordinated with the cabinetry supplier, allowing the cabinets to be installed and the vanity top to be sized as scheduled. The replacement doors arrived and were installed at the end of the project. The remodel was completed on time for the agreed price. Our contractor Lu was very knowledgeable, cooperative, and ably responded to the unexpected. The contractors and employees were all competent, neat, and courteous. We are very happy with the final result.
