FALSE ADVERTISING
Lawn Pros Inc. advertised A $500 discount on artificial turf on the cover of "Our Community Magazine" last May, 2016. I qualified and hired them. Lawn Pros overcharged me the $500. When I brought it to their attention I was told it would be subtracted from the final payment after the job was completed as my credit card had ALREADY BEEN CHARGED THE INITIAL PAYMENT. I agreed. It was about 5 pm on the day of completion so I called them the following day to be sure the $500 had been deducted. It had not been deducted and my credit card had already been charged. They initially stated they did not owe me the $500. After many, many, many phone calls, talking to several different people, plus sending them a copy of their advertisement, in August Lawn Pros agreed they owed me the $500 and a check would be mailed to me. It was never received even though my address was confirmed with them several times. October came. Again, many phone calls with Lawn Pros standing firm that my $500 had been mailed...... even telling me a check number. After 3 weeks I called them and suggested putting a stop payment on that check and writing me another check. Seven more weeks have now passed and, as of December 16, I have not received the advertised $500 I was overcharged nor has Lawn Pros ever contacted me. Lawn Pros Inc. is not someone with whom I would do business and their truthfulness in advertising is lacking.
Did not go well. On the day they first came there was no evidence of seed or fertilizer on the lawn. After one week of watering twice daily there was no evidence of new growthvof the grass seed. The lawn did not green up either. We waited one more week then I called the company and they came out and reseeded. Still no evidence of growth. 6 weeks after the first fertilization they cmae and I was home this time to wittness the process. But... they did not clean up all the left over residue on the walks or patios. Very sloppy.
We will not be renewing our contract in the spring.

"We regret you feel that way [member name removed] after such a time long time frame after the Job was Completed and a 30 minutes walk thru with you had been done by our lead Supervisor. At which point you never commented any dissatisfaction. Our Crews asked your neighbor permission to use their Driveway since you live on very tight street where the house are about 10 feet apart.We had to redo your entire backyard in a very tightly packed neighborhood there was no choice but to leave materials on site on road. Our crews left Safety Orange Cones to mark this. We did clean up the any debris that went on your neighbors yard. There were many things that you were suppose to do that prior to our arrival that our Crews did for no additional charges. You made alot of changes to the plans that were originally agreed upon. Permission was asked for the music as we always ask, we completed your entire backyard in 3 days. If you had any concerns after the Job was Completed you were more than welcome to point out that. As for the retaining wall you changed what was to be done from the original bid. We sorry you feel that way.You constantly made changes."

I had arranged for one of their package deals but using seed that I provided. I had bought 15 lbs of seed to match what was in the lawn.
On the first appointment the team came to the house two hours earlier than scheduled, didn't find me home A simple calling ahead to see if they could come early or calling someone later on their schedule who might be home earlier would have been a simple solution but they later admitted they hadn't thought of that.
On the rescheduled visit I left the bag of seed out for them to use (since I wasn't home) and they did the work. However out of 15 lbs of seed they had used maybe a cup or two.
I called back to the office to schedule another visit to do the seeding at no charge. The team showed up, used all the seed with a broadcast spreader and left without speaking to me after the job. I know they aren't paid to be social but a quick and quot;OK, we're doneand quot; at the end would be a nice touch that also helps distinguish the good from the best.

Customer Service could most definitely be improved.
Mowing:
We had Lawn Pros come out and mow our lawn weekly and it started out OK. The guys showed up on time for the most part and did a good job mowing the lawn, the trimming was usually satisfactory also. Towards the end of this season they started getting sloppy and leaving messes behind. Really, I'm not too hard to please and I was happy to have someone else do the lawn work for a reasonable price. BUT, the guys would put their mulching mowers in the back of the trailer and leave behind several huge clumps of grass on the street in front of my house. I would then have to go out and clean it up, which defeats the purpose of paying someone so that I don't have to deal with it. I called and requested that the guys clean up after themselves. I requested a second time that they clean up the big clumps, unfortunately, the issue was not resolved so I had to cancel my services with Lawn Pros.
Sprinkler:
Aaron came out to identify a leaky sprinkler and adjust the heads. He was very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. He had to dig up some sod and repair a pipe, which he did that day very quickly. He also went around and adjusted all the heads and replaced one that wasn't working well. I would call Lawn Pros( Aaron) again for sprinkler repairs.

The Lawn Pros team was very professional, they fixed our broken sprinkler heads as well as checked the system for any other problems and aerated the front and back lawn. They did a great job and we will defiantly use them in the future!

Most important he respected my input rather than dismissing my opinion and my historical perspective on the problem. That saved Lawn Pros and me both time and money.
