We hired Kenton Pass & Company based on a recommendation from a realtor friend who knew of their work on many houses in different Colorado Springs neighborhoods for years.  After meeting with us personally, Kenton and his construction manager, Mat, brought a team of subcontractors that have worked with him for years to the house to look at the rooms and discuss our project in detail.  These subcontractors have been working with Kenton for years and they had great suggestions on remodeling our kitchen and main floor bathroom--lots of things I wouldn't have thought of, but that we ended up incorporating and I'm so glad we did.  Once the subcontractors gave Kenton their estimates, he worked up a budget to present for our approval.  This process is very transparent--Kenton provides the subcontractor estimates to you, along with his costs for overhead and profit, so you know exactly what you are being charged and what you are getting.  We discussed the budget for tile, cabinets, fixtures, etc., then I chose the materials myself, coming in a little over on some and a little under on others--but based on his discussions with me, he was spot on with the proposed budgets for all.  Once the work began, I was amazed at how well scheduled everything was and how professional all the subcontractors were.  Everyone showed up on time, worked hard, and the end result exceeded my expectations!  The tile subcontractor even came on a Saturday because the kitchen tile was taking longer to complete and he wanted to finish so the cabinets could go in on Monday, right on schedule.  Mat, the construction manager, is professional and responsive and kept everything moving along.  They estimated that it would take up to 6 weeks to complete the project, but with a lucky break on the countertops (Mat persuaded the company to get them done in one week rather than two), they completed the project in 4 1/2 weeks and I was able to cook Thanksgiving dinner in my new kitchen.  We were so impressed with Kenton, Mat, and all his subcontractors, that they are back at our house remodeling our master bath and upstairs guest bath, and we had one of their subcontractors re-roof our house.  I cannot recommend them highly enough!
