Great!! The man who came out was able to get it going in about a minute. Turns out that on our water heater you have to hold the pilot light button down for a minute. Not the 20-30 seconds that I was doing. (I feel kind of silly.) Fortunately they did not charge me for the lighting service. I will definitly use them in the future.

The repair went great! The central air went out late Sunday night and Johnson Brother's Plumbing and Heating were able to schedule coming to the house that Wednesday, which was the earliest, based on the other companies we called. Repair technicians were on time, found the problem quickly -- had a bad capacitor. Technicians had correct part in their truck and replaced the part within minutes. Almost immediately, cool air was being blown through the vents. The technicians checked the air conditioning temperature and verified system was working correctly.

The technician explained what the capacitor does and answered my questions about the part, then showed me the bad capacitor, explaining when the top of the capacitor is pushed out it's an indication that the part is bad.

The price was reasonable and the house was back to being cooled. The technicians also liked dogs, so I didn't have to lock my dogs up.

I would definitely use Johnson Brother's Plumbing and Heating again.

These folks came in almost $2000 dollars cheaper than anyone else I could find in town.  They were able to do all the installs and upgrades in one day.  Had to change out my existing electrical panel and put in a new one with more room for expansion.  This took about 5 hours.
Had them pull out the old furnace that had been in the house since it was built in 1978 and replace it with a new Trane 95% High Efficiency furnace with an Electric Air Cleaner.  This unit is super quiet and it took them around 6 hours to change out.  The change out took a little longer since the electric was off for the electrical panel upgrade.
Installed a new 3 ton Trane air conditioner.  This was a new install, no upgrade.  The 6 hours that it took to install the furnace was also including installing the AC.
They were able to work their way through the failed inspections from Regional Building.
Overall, very pleased with the service.  Within 8 days of signing the install build with the contractor, the entire build was done.  I would highly recommend these folks to others if anyone is looking for furnace or AC work.

Gary did a great job installing a replacement, gas water heater that we had already purchased from Home Depot.  We've used Johnson for plumbing for several years and have always been pleased with the results.  Biggest challenge is scheduling as they are usually pretty busy/in high demand so I guess I could give them a B in responsiveness but the office staff is always very responsive and apologetic if they can't get us on the schedule so it stays with an A.  Good folks who do good work.

I called Rick when I noticed the water. He got me an appointment immediately.  They took care of my problem within minutes.  The cost for repairs was very fair.   I have used them before for other issues with my air conditioning and furnace.  They have always been much less expensive than other companies and the service is wonderful.  There is no one else that I trust with my heating/plumbing.

Rick (owner) kept appointment for estimate and accurately estimated the job. Worked with me on the schedule to provide repair when convenient for me. Gary (plumber doing the job) showed up 10 minutes early, had all the necessary parts and equipment, and completed the work in a professional manner. Several pipes connected to the area requiring repair began leaking as a result of the work done, and Gary quickly repaired these pipes/leaks as well. This additional work took 45 minutes, and I was happy to pay for the additional time required to make sure all leaks were addressed. Gary cleaned up the work site and was courteous throughout the process of repair and cleanup. I will use Johnson Heating & Plumbing for future plumbing work.

They came out to give us a bid on this work a year prior to actually completing it - at that time we were expecting our second child and decided to hold off on the work due to its scope.  We contacted them this past December and they honored their initial proposal bid from a year ago.  (We're certain this is the only thing that hasn't risen in price over the past 12 months!)  The plumbers that came to complete the work were friendly, worked efficiently, and finished quickly.  They cleaned up any debris and really provided minimal disruption to our lives.  The bathroom has been in the works now for over a month, without any problems, and we are completely satisfied!

They advised the system needed a thorough cleaning and didn’t feel they did much for $105 paid.  The technician was good, but they tried to get more money out of the job, which made me unhappy.  I may not use their services in future.

The plumbing was incidental. They didn’t do anything; I just asked them a couple of questions. However, when I called them on the phone, they knew that I had both concerns. I spent about $75 on the job. I have always done annual maintenance on y furnace in the fall. I had them come out to check the furnace, to clean it, and to oil it. I would not be able to give them a very good recommendation. Even though, I told them on the phone that I wanted service done on my furnace, the young man that they sent out was a plumber. He did a great job answering my questions about my water heater. But it came to servicing my furnace, he was unfamiliar with it. He did not know what a heat exchanger was. He did do a little bit of cleaning, but he did not think that it needed to be oiled. Basically, he did not do very much. He did not stay very long. He was friendly enough and professional enough, but I don’t think he was the right person to do the job. I will not use them again in the future.

I've used them a couple of times. He was very professional and he listened to what I was experiencing as the problem. He was here a short amount of time and then came back and fixed the problem. We haven't had any problems and it worked. Whatever he did was a good thing. I would call him back in a heartbeat.

Found these guys on Angieslist. They had a perfect record and when I called I initially spoke directly to the owner Rick. When I was ready for the work to be done, I worked with Gary (GM). Both guys were competent, personable, and professional. As I mentioned, I did all the trenching myself, however, I only dug down 16 inches thinking that the additional 2 inches of surface material (sand and flagstone) would make up the total 18 inches required by the Regional Building Department. I also only dug down 16 inches because the ground is really hard. Gary called me back and informed me that the trench needed to be 20 inches to be sure the pipe top is below 18 inches. . One jack-hammer later, we got the additional 4 inches. Gas line has to be "fused" together - basically, melted together. We had a total of 12 fusings that all went well. Set the line up with a pressure test (10 lbs) and waited for the inspection. Passed inspection first try. After that, they hooked up the line to the meter, put ball-valves on the ends, installed the quick-release for the gas grill and ran the trace wire. All and all, I"m pleased with how fast and professional these guys operate. Running a gas line is nothing to be taken lightly. Get a professional.

Very friend and professional plumber got right to the heart of the job - cut out a hole in the ceiling and replaced it and it is easily repaired with minor filling. Replaced a 30 year old outside faucet. He checked first it was not the washer. Job was 1.75 hours and the cost of the faucet. Charges $85 an hour which is a lot less than others. Would use again definitely. No mess, happy guy and on time!

It went great. Punctuality and professional work were excellent. The work was done in a very timely manner. I called that morning and they showed up that same morning. They even called when they were going to be a few minutes late because of an emergency. I was just glad they would come so soon so we could get our water back on. They are definitely a customer focused company.

My niece moved in to her first house over the weekend. We discovered a number of plumbing problems since the house had sat empty for several weeks. We called Johnson's Plumbing first thing Monday morning with a list of 7 things that we wanted to have the plumber work on. They said they'd have someone at the house at 1:00 PM that day. Gary called at about 12:45 and said he was just finishing up another job and was going to be a little bit late. He arrived at 1:30 PM. We showed him all of our issues and while we were quite concerned at the number of problems that we had found Gary was calm and pleasant and reassured us that nothing we showed him was that big of deal. He kept track of everything we told him about and worked his way through the list and asked us if we wanted to have him weld on a pipe to the water heater that was just sitting loose that we hadn't noticed. We had him do everything and he finished up within 2 hours. I thought his pricing was very fair, $85/hour, and he had the parts to fix everything except the hose to hook up the clothes washer. He offered to go and get the part or said we could got and get it while he worked on the other items. We of course decided to go get the part ourselves so he was able to work straight through the issues. There was no trip charge fee. I would definitely use Gary again and I wish he was in MN where I live. My niece has made a note of his contact information so if she has any more plumbing problems she knows who to call. He did a great job and made a first time home buyer's day by being responsive, reasonably priced and thorough.

The service man, Don, arrived a few minutes prior to the agreed time, reviewed briefly what I wanted him to do, and began work immediately on plumbing repairs primarily directed at eliminating leaks in a toilet tank assembly which he did in short order, followed by replacement of the flapper on another toilet, then the furnace/humidifier seasonal check up. Don was in and done in less than an hour, leaving all clean and orderly. He indicated that the company guaranteed their work, so to call if there were any issues. As it turned out, he had fixed one part of the toilet that certainly had been leaking, but there were two other ancient bolt washers that were leaking as well, which I discovered the next day. The day I called, Don returned at an agreed time, and replaced the troublesome bolts and washers, and all is well. There was no additional charge for the second visit. Johnson Heating and Plumbing stood behind their work, no arguments or questions. I will certainly call them next time I need similar services.

The tub shutoffs was a little complicated because the hot & cold water pipes were different sizes and the hot side was and odd size that would be difficult to find. Previously a plumber said he had to order the part and never came back. The guy from Johnsons just put in new copper supply lines. The gas leak turned out to be a loose connection at the hot water heater which took a second to tighten and fix. Vigil Plumbing and heating said the leak was in a joint higher up in the system (Johnsons could not find a leak there) Vigil Charged $99 just to look at it and wanted $1291. to fix a leak Johnson's could not even find.
