I hired this company to build a new deck in the beginning of July. It is now the middle of September and my deck is still not finished. While the time frame is not completely their fault due to material delivery they wouldn’t show up for days at a time when material was available to work with. There were times they would show up and only stay for a couple hours. The whole process was a nightmare. Their lack of quality shows in all areas of the deck. I drafted the plans myself and they were approved by the building department. I provided them with copies of the plans. They messed up 4 of the 5 concrete piers because they measured them wrong. Instead of redoing them. They poured square pads over them that were only poured on the surface for three of them. One of the outside piers was supposed to be 10 inches. They messed up the measurement then poured a 16 inch pier over it that is approximately 1.5 ft above ground. They also cut a sprinkler line that went through the pier instead of pouring over it like I explained to them. I had to replace one piece of siding that met with the deck. I bought matching siding to replace it. The workers broke the siding while moving it. They bought new siding that was cheaper and did not match the existing siding. They additional broke off another small piece of siding that was not fixed. They left material all throughout my yard for weeks, leading to my grass dying and my sprinklers unable to work because they were covered up. Nails and screws were everywhere until I picked them up. The posts were cut short for the railing, so they nailed pieces of extensions on top of the posts. They messed up fastener spots for the rails leaving holes in the railing. They originally used screws for the framing. They had to be replaced with nails even telling them before they started nails had to be used and it was in the plans from the building department as well. They used facia board for the steps until I explained to them what the facia boards were for. Leading me to be short on facia boards for the rest of the deck. They also started the deck flooring using a facia board, realized the mistake and replaced. But at that point the facia board could not be used elsewhere as it was notched for posts. I bought flashing for the ledger that was never used. When I questioned them about it he stated the siding and ledger were already put on. The quality of work was below average at best. They cut corners and I found it very concerning I had to explain to them parts of building a deck.

Israel and his team were great! He was timely, professional, and responded promptly to my questions and requests. The craftsmanship of his team was also impeccable. He took care to give me exactly what I wanted and also made suggestions to help me realize my vision. I’m extremely pleased with my pergola. After 7 years of not regularly using my backyard due to the beating sun, I’m outside on a daily basis for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Thanks to Israel and his team!

The owner did an ok job for the money. I paid him $500 to fix a crack on the stucco on the front of the house. He was several hours late which would have been fine had he called me. Once he completed the work the color that he used to paint over the patch did not match well with the stucco color of the house. I asked him if he could go back to see if he could match the color better. He said yes but once I paid him he did not come back. He also required half of the project cost up front.

Very prompt in replying to our inquiry. Price quote very reasonable. Started work the next day. Amazing, hard workers. Finished the work sooner than expected, even with added trench work/drain. We highly recommend JJ&E Construction. They are very conscientious/professional about their work.

We poured the concrete then a Winter Storm blew in and the concrete didn’t dry correctly. They were great to come back and fix it. Sometimes things don’t always go right. You want someone who owns it and won’t stop until it’s done right. They did that.

They did good work at a fair price. Both men were very cheerful and fun to work with.

Israel and Juan were amazing! They installed two new toilets, took the old ones with them, fixed a leaky pipe in the bathroom, cleaned up the mold, laid new laminate floors and put in the baseboard and fixed a leaky faucet! Their pricing was better than anyone else we got quotes from, they were professional and kind. We will for sure use Israel again!

It went really well. Our concrete looks great. They were professional and attentive. Everything was done in one day. I would recommend them to family and friends. I will use them again when the need arises.

Israel reached out to me came down on a Saturday to give me a fair quote. Hired him to do job with his crew. Showed up on time with crew abcs started to work. Was supposed to be Teri day job but completed it in one day. Very professional, prompt and completed job in one day. Hard working and crew was on task throughout project. I would hire again. Did everything needed to finish job. More than satisfied with job. Looks like a brand new house!! Thank you!!!

Israel Juarez was the first to respond to my request for bids and the only contractor to show up as scheduled. He was knowledgeable and personable and explained why the entire house would need to be covered in a metal lathe before applying the stucco due to the brick having been previously painted. There were a few times when he didn’t show up when he said he would but there were extenuating circumstances and the final result exceeded my expectations. He needed some extra encouragement to get the site cleaned up as per our contract but he responded to my satisfaction. The painter needed to chip stucco from wood surfaces and edges between stucco and wood areas but the end result is excellent and well worth the extra that she needed to be paid ([*** Link removed ***] I would leave photos but I don’t see an option for uploading them.

Isreal and his team were fantastic! They completed the remodel of our laundry room in record time and at a great price. The room looks amazing! We are very happy with the level of work done.

Everything they did came out great great contracting company and would recommend them to everyone.

About a year earlier than our project, several of the homeowners in our community with stucco homes had their chimney rebuilt and the stucco replaced as a result of mold, rotting wood, and other water infiltration problems. Seeing what our neighbors were doing and knowing about the problems with stucco in PA, we hired a stucco inspector who identified several areas around our house where the stucco needed to be remediated, including the chimney. JJ&E Construction agreed to remove the stucco and repair the areas identified by the inspector with the understanding that if addition underlying problems were found, they would be required to address them. Once the work started, it quickly became apparent that the original stucco was not installed correctly. JJ&E also found that the foundation on the back wall of our walk-out basement was not installed correctly and agreed to repair that. JJ&E removed all the original stucco, replaced any damaged or rotted wood, replaced any damaged insulation, and installed new exterior plywood, Tyvek® wrap, additional weatherproofing layers, aluminum wrap trim around the doors and windows, and stucco that meets all current codes. The craftsmanship of all the work was excellent.
