Showed up 1.5 hours after appointment time. "Installed" furnace. Left. Two hours later, furnace running. Thermostat set at 71. House at 77. Oh well natural gas is cheep now, right? Called and got night intercept. No one on call tonight (Tuesday). TOO BAD. Maybe they will call tomorrow. This an $8.700 install Tough SH^T. Just live with it!

The location of this company is incorrect. 4341 Platte Ave, Colorado Springs, CO 80915 is abandoned now for a few years. The original owner passed away last year. JD Vigil seems to operate from an address at 80 Talamine Ct, Colorado Springs, CO. And, whatever the reason, when searching for them on the Internet, One Hour Heating and Conditioning web size pops up. When trying to call the company, someone in Pueblo responds. I am still trying to resolve a few outstanding issues after a furnace and air-conditioning replacement, but it is so far dragging. I will update this in a week. Inspection call was scheduled for November 7. Three weeks is simply too long to get a new date with the state required inspection. I hope my issues will resolved this week. update as of 11/30/2022 I am updating my comment I posted a few days ago. I have today both the mechanical and electrical inspectors reviewing the work JD Vigil did. So far everything is great with the installation. I want to give a five star rating to the work performed, but I marked it with four starts due to the difficulties I encountered with a few follow up items. It seems that their temporary internal issues were resolved.

'Thorough' is the best word for them. They have been thorough every step of the way and I have complete confidence in them. Everyone I have dealt with at JD Vigil is very professional, including the woman who answers the phone. They take their time not just with the heating system itself, but explaining clearly what as a customer I need to know and answering my questions. The system I bought cost a little less than $3,000-- and I was pleased not only that there was no push for me to buy something up the price scale, but that in the end it cost to the dollar what I had been told, without the extra fee for this and extra charge for that, by which some companies add hundreds of dollars to a bill. The people at JD Vigil know their business and have been very decent in their treatment of me as a customer. I recommend them to anyone.

For several years I had a contract with AJ Vigil for furnace and A/C maintenance.  The money was taken directly from my checking account.  The first few years the office called me to set up the yearly appointment, but the last 3 years I had to contact them.  Last year I said something to the woman that answered the phone, asking "why they didn't call anymore".  She promptly replied, "That's NOT OUR PROBLEM!!!"  I told her that I assured that every month the money was in my checking account for them to withdraw.  The technician came out and after 7 YEARS I was told that the furnace was too big for the size of my home!!  I called another company to confirm his findings and he was right!!  Why didn't the other technicians know that?   I was contacted by Mr. Vigil about my original review.  He said that the other technicians wouldn't have commented on my furnace was too large for my size house if it was operating efficiently.  I am not a furnace/heating expert and I have to assume he is.  I stand by my remarks about the woman that answered the phone.  He said I should have contacted him immediately, and on hind sight I probably should have - - BUT with the attitude the person answering the phone had, he probably wouldn't have "been in"  per her!!  Therefor I am up grading my review.

I wasn't sure who to call when My Air stopped working, a friend and neighbor Suggested I call J.D Vigil's. From the time I called the office to the time they fixed my Air conditioning , I was pleasantly surprised with the outstanding customer service I received.
The Tech was very patient with my questions and explained everything to me. I will be calling this company again and telling my friends about them and what a great job they did.

When we built our home I did not purchase an A/C unit.  For 17 years I have had to hear my wife complain so I finally took action.  I got 4 estimates from reputable companies.  I got various guesses for the size of the AC unit I needed and I say guesses because JD's rep was the only one that actually took the most calculations and showed me the actual results from his application on his laptop.  The other  estimators just needed a couple minutes and told me what size unit I needed and it varied from a 3 ton to a 4 ton unit.  JD himself even took the time to come to my home to give me ideas on how to retrofit some needed returns that I chose to install myself. 
JD worked with me on the pricing and for the Lennox AC model I picked I got the best pricing.  I also chose to upgrade the furnace to a 93% efficient unit since my furnace was 17 years old and I got a super deal with the purchase and installation of both units. 
JD's team setup an installation date that worked best for me and his team came in and had it all installed in one day. I am a do it yourselfer and the main reason is I am a perfectionist.  JD's install team did a perfect job and the building inspector even commented on the fact that it was a clean professional installation.  I had no cleanup or follow-up work that I needed to do and that is not normal for work that I have done for me.
 I also was eligible for a special rebate on my high efficiency furnace and JD's team completed it and submitted it for me. All seamless to me. 
I had always heard about JD's great reputation but I got to live it and I highly recommend JD and his team.

Called because it wasn't working. Came out and gave me a bid. I already had 2 other companies out to give me a bid. They were priced along the other two companies but the salesman was more professional and gave me more information. They showed up when they were supposed to. Finished the job on time, cleaned up their mess and the price was what they quoted. I would use them again and recommend them to other people.

JD worked out a good deal with his Lennox vendor to provide his customers with an affordable, high quality heating and air conditioning systems. Additionally, he provided a top of the line controller at about half cost. We were able to upgrade a nearly 20 year old furnace and install air-conditioning this year because of that. The employees who installed the systems were professional and courteous and a really nice job. JD has followed up with us at least twice to ensure we are satisfied with his service that we aren't experiencing any problems. I am very satisfied with JD Vigil Heating and AC and would definitely recommend him to anyone considering installing or upgrading their furnace and/or AC systems.

Everything went as promised without any additional fees.  The sales person Ken who came out to our home was on time, knowledgeable and courteous.  At no time did we ever feel pressured into making a decision! He was able to address all of our questions and concerns and schedule the work within our timeframe.    The installers Robert and Sam spent a little bit of time going over the job with us before they even got started.  This was nice because we have two little dogs who have the run of the house and they took all the precautions to make sure they did not escape out an open door or gate!  They went to work and cleaned up as they progressed.  It took the better part of the day to complete.  When the inspector came out he noted how nice clean everything looked.

My home is an older home built in the 40's and they needed to bring a bunch of plumbing and venting up to current code.  I can't  wait for it to get cold so I can see how much energy savings we are going to see this winter.

Ken came back out a few weeks after the installation to see how the project went and to see if we had any questions.  This may not seem like a big deal but its refreshing to know that you are not forgotten after the sale.

We are very happy with our decision to use JD Vigil Heating and Air Conditioning and will use them again when we look at a ductless mini splits this summer!

The next day we told my oldest son who had returned from a business trip the evening of Dec 7th about our problem. By this time the temperature in the house was about 50 degrees. He looked at the furnace and discovered the fresh air intake for the furnace was clogged with snow. After clearing the blockage and reassembling the furnace that Ryan had left disassembled the furnace was operational and has been operational since. Monday, Dec 9th my wife called Ryan and asked that the check she had given him be returned as he had misdiagnosed the problem and had done nothing but leave us without heat. After Ryan never returned her call, my wife tried several times to call the business owner and again her calls were never returned. My son researched the cost of an Inducer motor and found prices from $40 to $150 for the motor itself. We feel because of our advanced age and the low temperatures we were taken advantage of. If our son had not looked into the problem when he did we would have been replacing our furnace on the recommendation of Ryan when the real problem was snow blocking the air intake.

I called Vigil for an estimate, giving him square footage of the home, and what we desired. The estimate was provided, and we were very pleased that the actual cost did not exceed the estimate. Good sales engineering. The folks arrived on time, worked efficiently,
told us in detail what they had done. Explained the workings of the air conditioner, the humidifer, and changing of the furnace fillter.
We are certainly pleased with Vigil.  We had used them previously in another residence, and we would not even consider using
another contractor.

initial meeting was information which went so well we placed an order. that next day J D Vigil secretary called to set up an installation time which worked based on our schedule. Showed up on time and did everything that they said would be done. Robert and John were awesome to work with and not only did a outstanding job with the installation, but clean up and explanation of our new product were spot on. Work was done in one day as promised. Would recommend they to anyone interested in a new furnace, air conditioning, humidifier, and air filtration.

From start to finish, we were more than pleased. The company's representative was professional, very well-informed, & did exactly what he said he would do. He brought a specialist to evaluate the very tight spaces in our furnace room - this gentleman recommended ways to successfully fit the elements together. The installers worked incredibly hard to retrofit the system into our older home, & they left their work area spotless. When the city inspectors arrived the following week, they both described the work as "a beautiful job".  That same day, we received a note, signed by Mr. Vigil, thanking us for our business. The employees who answer the phone are unfailingly cheerful, helpful, & sincere. We could not have asked for a better experience!

I returned home on Friday evening to discover that my heat pump was not working.  I called J.D. Vigil Heating and Air Conditioning and left a message.  The receptionist called about 9:00 the next morning, scheduled an appointment for a couple hours later.  A very young (23 y/o he told me) technician came with no tools or ladder but he did have an instrument that checks the electricity.  He told me he was a licensed electrician and HVAC technician.  Since the heat pump is mounted on a twelve foot ceiling in a four story condo building he needed a ladder. I told this to the receptionist when I scheduled the service call. I took him to my basement storage unit where we brought up my ten foot ladder.  He checked the system and all he found was two blown fuses that are in the heat pump.  Because it was a weekend he couldn't get fuses until Monday.  I wasn't available on Monday so he came back at 8:00 am Tuesday, installed the fuses.  The system did not come on so he messed around up there for three more hours and all of a sudden it came on.  He said, "I have no idea what I did to make it work; it just came on."  Because he was up on the ladder I asked him to reach over and put his hand over one of the ceiling vents and he reported that cold air was blowing.  As the technician was putting the cover back on the unit he said, "Oh, here's the electrical schematic.  I wondered where that was". He then broke one of the ceiling panels trying to reinstall them then left.
About six hours later I came home to find my condo still hot (it had been 93 degrees that day) and realized that the fan was blowing but there was no cold.  I turned the unit off, then on, hoping it would start the compressor.  Nothing came on; no fan, no cold.  The next morning I called the receptionist and asked to speak to Mr. Vigil.  She said he was in a two day training and and was unavailable.  I persisted in asking her to contact him and a few minutes later she said that he was on a service call and she would call me when that service call was finished and Mr. Vigil was on his way to see me.  I waited three hours and called back. She then told me that Mr. Vigil does not make home visits to diagnose problems but she offered to send the young technician back to which I replied that was acceptable but I wanted a different technician.  She said it was their policy that the original tech is the only person who can come back because they have done the background work and are aware of the problems.  I agreed and the tech came back for the third time in four days again bringing only the electrical device, no tools.  He checked everything and told me there was nothing more he could do.  I led the conversation at that point and said that it seemed to me that the next step would be to lower the heat pump from the ceiling so that it could be accessed and checked for problems.  He was not comfortable agreeing to that (which I understood) so he called the service manager (Bob).  As they spoke to each other the tech was relaying Bob's questions to me - the first thing Bob wanted to know was how much  I willing to pay for them to lower the unit? I thought that was a really strange question and wanted to say five dollars but I replied by asking what their charge was for that to which I never got an answer.  Through the tech, Bob informed me that this job would require a site visit from Mr. Vigil and that Mr. Vigil would call me that afternoon or the next morning.  At 9:30 the next morning I still had not heard from anyone so I called the receptionist.  Receptionist told me Mr. Vigil does not make site visits but that Bob was going to come. I replied by saying that was okay but I needed him to come immediately and expressed my frustration with the entire lack of response to this problem.  She said that was not possible for Bob to come at that time so I asked to speak to him.  She put me on hold and Bob picked up a couple of minutes later.  We spoke a couple of minutes then he replied that he would refund the money I'd spent.  I agreed to that and asked when I would get it to which he replied that the accountant would be in four days later and would write a check and mail it to me.  Call ended.  
About six hours later I had second thoughts and called the receptionist to reschedule Bob for the following day as she had offered earlier.  He was out of the office and wouldn't be in until morning.  Next morning she called to say he was unavailable until the following day.  I brought up the promised refund to which she replied that it was waiting for the accountant so I asked if I could have a written statement stating that they were going to refund my money.  She refused. I drove to their office planning to wait for someone with authority to talk to me but when I got there the door was locked and no one answered when I knocked.  After calling her on my cell phone, she still refused to come to the door so I left.  I'm still waiting for a written statement or a check.
The people at J.D. Vigil seem to make up policy that fits the moment and lie to your face when they want to avoid something. They are dishonest, make false promises, unprepared to solve problems, under-trained and lack any kind of integrity.
My best advice is do not go near J.D. Vigil Heating and Air Conditioning.
