I am so thankful that one of the big carpet chains jerked me around on the measurements of my home (over estimating by about 200 square feet). Otherwise, I would not have discovered IQ Floors. From the moment I first walked into their store, I knew this was a different sort of company. Reagan, the founder and each of the personnel I spoke with were personable, professional and incredible to work with from the start and spent a good deal of time explaining the principles of flooring textiles to ensure we were comfortable with our choice. He also worked hard to be more competitive on price than the cold, impersonal big box stores and carpet outlets. Mike and his crew are arguably the finest installation crew I have ever worked with. They planned for two days to install our 1850 square feet of carpet (a perfectly reasonable estimate with furniture moving). However, the guys got right after it from the moment they walked in the door and even brought on additional crew members. They carefully moved our furniture and then removed the old carpet thoroughly including all the tacks and staples, vacuuming everything after that. The installation looks absolutely flawless especially the neatly wrapped stair treads. They completed the job in one day expediting our ability to enjoy our beautiful new carpet. I am somewhat of a perfectionist and am seldom overwhelmed by the work of contractors. However, I must say, IQ Floors and their installation contractor knocked it out of the park.

The work was not completed and IQ Floors is walking away from the job.
They did not manage getting all materials to the site on time so the work took place over multiple months and is still not complete. The installation was done incorrectly as the wrong underlayment was used. The new floor was a nail down installation but Reagan allowed an underlayment suitable for a floating installation to be used instead. As a result, the flooring is loose and attempts to "top nail" boards has been ineffective. Of course, top nailing should not be required and is not part of the manufacturer's installation instructions. And because of the underlayment, we have had five nails come up out of the floor in the first few months!
In addition to the underlayment problem, the workmanship on the floor is very poor. Boards were not trimmed well and the gaps were instead filled with putty that doesn't match the flooring well. And the putty itself is a problem because it is soft and collects dirt which makes the installation look even worse and is impossible to maintain. Much of the trim that was removed by the installer was damaged, kitchen and bath cabinets were scratched and chipped and other subfloor damage was done and not disclosed by the installer.
The floor needs to be removed and installed correctly. Unfortunately, IQ doesn't have the business ethics to stand behind their work and make things right. When there are problems that arise in a project, you get the true measure of the service provider and in this case IQ Floors demonstrates a lack of professionalism and integrity.

The owner is great, scheduling was very easy, and they were professional.  They do an excellent job.  They moved the furniture, hauled everything away, did quality work, and the price was good.  We were completely satisfied.

Good quality carpet for a good price.  Installation was C-.  Did not clean up after themselves, left glue on the baseboards.  Would buy carpet from them again but have someone else install it.

They gave the carpet to the installer, who did a very good job. We are very happy with the service and the product. No complaints. We recently went back to them because their prices were so good and got excellent service and recommendations.

IQ's policy of standing behind their product is fleeting at best.
Our carpet is either very poor quality (even though we paid for high quality) or was poorly installed.  At this point it is dangerous to walk on our carpeted floors because you could trip on the waves.  People who have been in our home are appalled at the horrible appearance of our carpet.
While our 20 year old white carpet remains fine, we will be replacing our "new" carpet at our own expense.  Obviously it is not the environment, care or use.  It was bad product and/or bad installation.

****Following up on my comments from July 2013, today we were reimbursed in full by IQ Floors LLC for the re-stretching that had to be done on our carpet.

They were just so laid-back, wonderful people.  Really very friendly and just so knowledgeable about their product.  They were able to give me so many options for my stairs.  They are also really reasonable on the cost.  Their products are negotiable and that is always a bonus.  They worked around my budget.  I am going to use them again based on this experience.

Bought our first house in Fountain, CO. The carpeted floors in the house were disgusting.  The former owners had a dog that urinated every five feet in the entire house. All of the flooring in the 2621 sq ft had to go. We shopped everywhere. Both major box stores, several different discount flooring stores, i.e. lumber liquidators.

We showed up at IQ Floors literally 5 minutes before closing.  The staff had left due to an impending storm, actually passing us as we drove up. The only person there was Rich, the warehouse manager, who was just closing up. Without hesitation, he offered to let us in and helped us look around.  He gave us advice, and never once tried to rush us or sell us anything. He was open and honest if he didn't know something.

When we came back at a later date, Melissa and Reagan took very good care of us. The entire staff was extremely friendly. They are very much a family and truly enjoy their jobs.  Long story short, I felt like they wanted the best for me and my budget, not for their bottom line. We bought flooring from them initially, which they were able to get for a great price, and when I went back to work out the details, I brought up carpet.  We had initially gone with a box store carpet, and not only did IQ match the price, they gave us a better carpet.

Last, but certainly not least, they really go out of their way to help. With me installing the flooring myself, they had no reason to go beyond selling, but they continually offer advice and help throughout the process.
