I visited the store to get a warrantee replacement of an Invisible Fence unit which attaches to the dog collar. This unit cost over $250 originally. It does have a lifetime warrantee though. After the clerk verified that the unit was indeed malfunctioning, she told me that she would go ahead and honor the warrantee and replace the unit for a $10 "warrantee service fee". When I asked her to point out any reference to this fee in my original contract, she told me that this fee was added after I signed my contract. She told me that the fee was to cover her time and shipping of the unit. I told her that I would accept that if I purchased the
unit elsewhere but I purchased it at their store. I told her I would pay the $10 but I would issue a complaint. At this time another representative came into the lobby and questioned my willingness to issue a complaint over a $10 fee. I felt it strange how important the $10 was when they wanted it but how it should be insignificant for me to pay. She reiterated their reason for the fee
and eventually capitulated and stated that I would not need to pay it but she was going to place a comment in my file stating that I would need to pay it the next time I needed a warrantee replacement. When I was finally given a replacement unit I was informed that the replacement fee could be $50 the next time I came in and I would be required to pay it.
I found this fee insulting and the representatives rude. The $250 price is well above the manufacturing cost for the product. The technology contained within the package is closer to that within a musical Christmas card while the price is that of a low-end smart phone. The original price should cover all warrantee replacement costs as indicated within the contract. Throwing the defective unit into a box with others to be shipped back and handing the customer a replacement with a kind or even neutral comment should cost nothing.
I found that the Invisible Fence product is very good. The replacement was for a unit purchased in 1999. I have no qualms with the Invisible Fence company or product.

After over twenty years of service we were having trouble with our system. Lytnin came out promptly and evaluated the problem. Our perimiter wire had been cut & repaired by us too many times (we are avid gardeners) and needed to be replaced. When I saw the higher quality of the new standard wire I was sure we were making a great up grade. We have had an Invisible Fence system for over twenty years through five different dogs. It has worked GREAT !! Our dogs have the full run of a yard that could not be fenced and they NEVER get shocked and we have peace of mind. Before the system went in we were on a first name bases with Humane Society. We still are but now it is other peoples' dogs visiting ours! I have only the highest praise for Lytnin's professionalism, the reliability of the product, and instructions provided. I have recommended them to neighbors who have installed similar systems with similar results. Inspite of the cost of the system I rated them as an "A" under price because of the quality of the product. You can get cheaper systems for sure but they do not last and are not as reliable. When our controller destroyed by lighting they replace for free.

I feel everything went great. Both myself and my dog were treated professionally and respectfully. I feel very confident in letting her out for long periods without worrying about her leaving the property.

It went OK. The people that we dealt with were all very nice and helpful. The dog training part was great and we loved the primary trainer we got. Our issue is that the dogs collar is set off by our cable wire running around our house and also strangely by my parents car. So we have to make sure the dog is not outside with her collar on if my parents are coming over, and she has more limited room around the house because of the cable line interference. We asked the company to fix it, but we were basically told that this sometimes happens and we could buy another device to try and mitigate the cable line interference for one portion of the house but it would not fix the whole problem. We feel like we have already spent enough money and we are frustrated with the interference.

The entire process was amazing. If you call, ask for your trainer to be Mark, as he is simply amazing with dogs. He started the training with an indoor transmitter, which helped us get our dogs used to the flags which indicate a fence line is near. The next training session involved moving the dogs outside, again to familiarize them with the concept of a fence line. All in all, it took two weeks to train them, and the company provides step-by-step instructions. I have referred several people to them, all with positive results. It may seem a bit pricey, however the safety of my animals is important to me. The price includes the collar, installation fees, and training sessions.
