They took the awning off my house- did not caulk between the siding and the awing when they put it back on- water is getting into my house because it is pouring in through the gap. They want me to pay for a service call to fix what they didn't due properly the first time. He says I have to pay a service call to get proper work- I have already paid for the job in full. Before you hire them know that they will not return calls and will not back their work.

The entire process was exceptional! I made an appointment with one of the Heart House staff for an estimate and she spent a lot of time explaining how my windows (Simonton) would help with energy costs. The price seemed to be very reasonable, so I placed the order, which would take about three weeks to fill since the windows are made in another state. After I got my homeowners' association approval, second measurements were done by the installer and provided to the window company. Right at three weeks, I got the call that my windows were in and could be installed as soon as the next day. Cool! And three installers did all of the work, completed the installation efficiently and cleanly, and vacuumed my basement floors to ensure that any dirt/spider webs/pine needles that were in the basement window wells were gone. Very professional installation and I am very happy with the results.

After many unreturned phone calls and difficulty getting install date.Heart House had lots of staff problems and company was losing many employees..scheduled install for Sept 2014 and then that employee quit! Heart House and I had some words between each other and they told me to find someone else to do the work!!

Service has been horrible. We've had several issues with the windows not closing, the back 12 foot sliding glass doors don't lock, we have to use a ghetto lock (2 inch dowel in the track) to lock it. And this is in an almost 1 million dollar home. We've called multiple times, they don't call back, I've left countless messages. Manual has come out several times, but doesn't seem to be able to fix the door issue, so apparently they just want us to go away. Find somewhere else, service sucks.

--The home was a purchase w/original windows from 1974. In all fairness the home was not in the best condition as far as outer siding so the installation had some challenges. It took a couple weeks to come out and measure and a couple more weeks to get the bid I was told due to backlog.
--The windows appear to be a very good quality and have done great so far this winter. They have performed good so far. CAUTION: after they were actually installed they were much thicker than I was actually expecting. This now prohibits me from hanging blinds on the inside of my window jams. I have to hang any window coverings on the outer side of the window jams.
--The installation was scheduled timely and the crew arrived on time. They were all friendly and seemed to know their business. The windows were all installed and seem to operate fine. The actual windows look good even with thickness issue noted above.
--The area I'm not completely happy about is how the installation looks with my homes siding. I know some of this is due to the condition of my siding but even at that, the included trim used around the windows is kind of thin and it also was not consistently used on all windows so some look different than others and the caulking seems to be excessively heavy and messy in numerous places. This may be because the caulking was done last with daylight running out and they seemed rushed to finish up. I have not addressed this with Heart House yet as I will start doing some work on home in Spring and determine if this is needed.

Overall I like the windows but I wish it was more clear about the thickness and trim before I bought. The rating is B+

This is the 3rd time we have had Heart House install windows at one of our homes. They have been great every time. We will continue to use Heart House for our window needs. The windows are great. They keep the heat and cold from outside out and the heat and A/C from inside in...

They were very reasonable. They have a three year warranty on their work. They are a family-owned business and have been around for a very long time.

The installers did a fine job of installing the windows, but they were disrespectful of my house. They walked all over my wool rug in the living room even after I asked them to cover it before they even started the job. They tossed tools and materials on the floor and my bed without putting down covering first. I have photographic documentation of this activity and showed it to Hearthouse. The themselves windows (Simonton) had a quality problem. Five of the windows did not have the glass glued into the frames. The problem was so bad the factory rep had to come out and take care of the problem. Because of the disrespect of the installers and the poor quality of the windows, Hearthouse refunded me $500.

Windows are great. The service was good. What they estimated for time was right on. Windows came in when expected and were installed on the time line promised

They initially installed all our windows minus the garden window in the kitchen and the patio door off the master bedroom on April 3, 2009. They came back on May 6, 2009 to finish with the remainder of the project. They kept a clean job site, but typically showed up over a hour after they proposed they would arrive. Also, we were going to have them make some window sill plates for us but they did not get back to us on the project. They did a nice job at installing the windows, but they are installed with just screws and chaulking but no flashing. The windows are warrantied for double lifetime (can pass on to one other owner) and the chaulking is guarenteed for 3 years. I would recommend them to anyone looking to get a good deal on an installed quality window.

Installation went quickly and efficiently with no problems immediately noted. After installation a piece of lint was noticed between the panes of one of the double hung windows with the company promptly ordering and installing a new window. Also, the other double hung window didn't seem to quite fit the window, it was very difficult to open and close. Heart House came right out, remeasured and reordered this window also, 1/4 inch larger and reinstalled the window. Works perfectly. Only issue I could have was that the three angled windows in the LR were very high and the fact that there were large chips of stucco on the topside that were not fixed. Since they were so high, this was never noticed until we washed the windows for the first time several months later. Since I had the supplies available and I was up there, I stucco patched it and painted it without going back to Heart House, so I don't know if they would have fixed it. I believe they would have.

Everything went well. One window cracked on installation and the screen was warped on the patio, and they came back without me even asking them to and fixed it.

Awful; poor workmanship (stones not cemented to pillars, uneven floor, cracks in composite, leak in the roof), many delays such that the completion date was six months late, lack of professionalism ( trash left on the front lawn, initial denial of responsibility for a leak in the roof). Very slow to repair problems, and in the end I was forced to hire a different contractor to fix the leaky roof. General incompetence; confusion at every turn over details of the project design and execution.
Response from Heart House
"Heart House Custom Exteriors was the company that completed this deck work. This company is Heart House Creations and is a different company. We do not do decks, and this is not our company. We need this report removed."

I got several estimates and they were the cheapest for the exact same quality of windows. The price was half of what other people wanted to charge me. They did a good job on installing them and it was finished in a timely manner. The people were very nice, too.

Scott provided an estimate based on our measurements and what we wanted done, then followed up coming out to the house, measuring professionally and updating the estimate, which was right on. He was very reasonable with his prices (beat out the other competition). They ordered the windows right away, and scheduled the installation fairly soon after. The installers were right on time, very professional in their installation, polite, courteous and cleaned up any mess. They promptly repaired unforeseen damage (when removing the old windows some plaster/paint on the inside wall came off).
