GT Contracting

We used GT Contracting/Greg Tyhurst for our landscaping and to have a laundry room moved.  At the time he was great to work with, the job ran much longer than anticipated for various reasons (issue with failing inspection, scheduling conflicts, etc), but overall had a decent experience.  Fast forward four months and we received notice the plumbing company he subcontracted with was putting a mechanics lien on our home due to his nonpayment for their services.  We had receipts showing we had paid him for this job, but he in turn never paid them.  After several phone calls that were not returned and very few returned texts, he finally replied that it was a miscommunication and that he would sort it out by a certain date.  That date came a went.  The plumbers told us they were going to proceed with filing the lien.  I left yet another message voicing my disappointment and disgust, and he finally showed up to their office and paid in cash on the day they were planning to file.  I can't speak for others, but this was our (very bad) experience with his company.

GT Contracting was incredible.  Greg (the owner) is fantastic to work with - very professional and kind, very responsive to questions, and he came out the very next day after I called him for a consultation.  He gave really great landscape design suggestions, ensuring the plants would survive the Colorado climate while still looking great.  He removed all the dead and dying trees and shrubs ASAP to appease our HOA, and then very quickly had new plants and shrubs in place.  After everything was in he and his crew re-mulched everything and it looks AMAZING.  It looks so good, in fact, three of our neighbors have asked for his contact info and are planning on using him.  His price point is super affordable too - his estimate came in WELL below (at least $1,000) below what other companies said, and they were all completely booked out for work until October!  I had all this work completed, from start to finish, within two weeks, and that includes all the tree and shrub removal,  waiting on specially ordered plants to arrive, and accounting for terrible weather  - ALL UNDER BUDGET.  Hands down will use Greg and his crew again - we are absolutely thrilled with how everything turned out!
