When we were trying to decide on the best option for selling our home, Brian Green (who is also a neighbor) offered to give us some basic information on the process. We spoke with him for several hours and we were so impressed that we agreed to look no further for a Realtor. It has been an excellent decision. Our house was in decent condition, but we needed some serious decluttering, new paint, and ideas for staging. Brian jumped in and immediately started helping. For a month, he worked side-by-side with us doing things I would never have expected from a Realtor. He brought us packing materials. He found a storage unit for our packed items and negotiated a discounted rental price on it. He was here to help us move things to storage, loading furniture, boxes, and hundreds of heavy items in his own truck and trailer! He helped us paint five rooms, two hallways and lots of trim and educated us on better painting techniques and proper equipment. He lugged furniture up and down two flights of stair when we switched out two rooms. He loaned us a professional carpet cleaner. He brought us tools. He kept us supplied with boxes, tape, and bubble wrap. He hauled away trash. Most importantly, he kept our spirits up. We worked hard every day and we got tired, sore, and frustrated with our progress. Brian encouraged us and often told us how great everything was coming together. He even put up with us when we were exhausted, cranky, and generally snarky. He ate meals with us and urged us to take time to relax. If there were any misunderstandings, he came over and talked through everything until we were all in accord. When the work was done, Brian spent hours photographing the house to show it to its best advantage. He took extra care with preparing and loading the listing. Our first showing produced an excellent offer, which we accepted. We still have to get through to closing, but we know Brian will be there to guide us through each step. He has become family to us.
