I can't sing the praises of this company enough. Everyone at Garven's Mortgage Group of Churchill mortgage are committed to serving their customer and making sure they get the best possible rate and deal possible. During our home selling and buying process they stood shoulder to shoulder with my family throughout the whole process. We put several contracts in and had to back out of one of the homes of interest, which really encroached on our timeline of selling our home and moving into another home to avoid being without a home. My mortgage broker Ken Smith and his team were able to close my home within 30 days and they made it look effortless. Everyone to include my realtor was super impressed with how efficient they conduct business and that they were able to accomplish such a tall task in such a short period time. This company straight up get's it done! No matter who you work with they are all top notch individuals and there customer service oriented culture is among the best that you find in Colorado Springs.

Jay and Ken went above and beyond for what we needed.  When we originally contacted them, we had already signed a contract for a house so we were on a time crunch and weren't incredibly impressed with the lender we had.  The owner of the company, Jay Garvens, called me the day after I sent an email to them and actually kept his office open past regular hours so that we could talk with them asap.
Ken and Jay walked us through all of the details of the loan and even provided us with a brief seminar of things to consider when purchasing your first home.  We applied for loans for multiple properties and Jay and Ken were always very responsive and were always willing to give us their professional opinion.  They were able to get us a great rate, were very easy to get in contact with, and always let us know promptly if there was anything additional we would need.  Ultimately, Jay referred us to one of his good friends Mike Berger who wound up being a great real estate agent.
The people at Garven's mortgage group do a great job being patient and taking the time to explain the details.  They know the stress involved with purchasing a home and do a great job minimizing at much as possible and providing peace of mind with the loan process.  We would certainly recommend them to anyone going through the same process and we look forward to staying in touch with them.

If you are looking for the right professional to help you find the right loan, stop here and read!  It?s verbose, and it?s a story that you may find yourself in.  Life is complicated and so are home purchases, especially when you have had to stop and hit the reset button!

Garvens Mortgage Group saved our new home purchase, PERIOD!

We were a difficult customer in that we were freshly bankable coming out of a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy --4 years after-- and also coming out of a foreclosure and loan modification --one year after--, we were not reaching for the stars in our new home.  We were trying to get just 500 more sq. ft., get out from under a high interest 2nd and find a new loan servicer.

We make a modest middle class income and just simply wanted a little more room with a closer location to our children's school.  Garvens Mortgage group, and Jeff Oster helped us reach that goal.  They put us into a very fair interest rate for our difficult scenario, into a house that we can modestly afford.  The loan Jeff Oster helped to place us in, was something we would not have been able to accomplish by ourselves.

We were originally working with the Primary lender for our builder, and after months of detailing our scenario and providing all of the needed paperwork we felt that it was within reach.  That deal literally fell apart ten days prior to close, just as we were moving out of our first house, and our home of ten years.  With our old home sold, the contract on the new was unwinding before our eyes.

We were forced to turn to family, living in a modest townhome with 1400 sq. ft.  It was a very difficult time for me personally as the primary provider, I had sold our home, and left us without a roof.

 I remember my first conversation with Jeff very clearly.  I was in the U-Haul heading to move out of our old house to store our belongings.  It was a tough, bittersweet day, but after talking to Jeff and the confidence he exuded and knowledge he exhibited I just knew it was going to be okay.

This is not a tragedy, just a sob story.  Jeff Oster and Jay Garvens of the Garvens Mortgage Group went to bat and hit a home run.  Not only did the forced circumstances strengthen our bonds with the help we received from my mom, but Jeff picked us up, brushed us off and got us back on track!

November 20th we closed, just a few weeks later than we had planned with the original lender.  We hosted Thanksgiving in our new house!  Now we have the Christmas tree up, and have unpacked enough to make this new house a home.  This review is longer than it could be, but it is necessary to ensure that Garvens Mortgage Group and Jeff Oster get the proper credit, and that they know how thankful we are for their help.

They worked very hard for us to obtain a low interest note for us and solved several financial problems for us.

This group was helpful and professional from our first meeting.  They thoroughly explained the process and kept us informed the entire time.

Jeff made sure we were able to close on time (after months' of living in our motorhome in the freezing cold) it was nice to know you were going to move into you house at a certain date and Jay and Jeff made sure it happened on time. Jeff even showed up at our closing to make sure all was well. In all of our other purchases, this has never happened unless my wife's company (mortgage) was doing our loans. Nice touch and made the experience more enjoyable. 
I highly recommend using Garven's for your mortgage needs, especially if you are going the VA route. they understand the military and have a very professional organization.  I recommend them so much so, based on my experience but more importantly the feedback my wife provided as she went through the process. If she decided to go back into mortgages again after finishing her MBA, this is the kind of company I hope she'd work for, someone who cares for the customer and proves it.
