Steve was the most trustworthy and dependable worker out of all the workers who have worked on my home since mid April, 2012. Out of numerous roofers, excavators, landscapers, carpenters, electricians, plumbers, appliance installers, inspectors, and deck builders, Steve was the one who gave me his cell number and ANSWERED it, called me back, GAVE ME HEADS-UP about other work schedules several times (which alone is worth hiring him for!). Plus, he was amazingly fast with whatever he did--from staining ceilings to painting on ladders to painting steel doors--WORKED ALL DAY with NO assistants, showed up early (from great distances even), did GREAT WORK, was FRIENDLY, never a jerk, and was HELPFUL with decisions, construction & texturing information, etc., and even with other construction tasks! Since the contractor who brought Steve along has retired, I truly hope that Steve will not have an empty calendar. This guy is golden! Plus, he plays great music while he works!
Description of Work: (The $ spent is only a guess. I only discussed money one time with Steve, and so I used that to estimate. I hope that it is correct. All in all, if it were a lot more, he was worth it!) Steve O'Hearn was the painter for my recently retired contractor who remodeled some and renewed everything else on my home built in the 40s. Steve painted the exterior of my home & garage, plus trim and new & old doors. He also painted six interior rooms, new and old, plus trim, and even had to fix and touch up damage caused by other workers and my kids several times, even driving about 30 miles one way just to finish touchups a couple times. He also painted at my parents' home at the same time--never being absent from his jobs in my home--and stained new wood ceilings and bookcases there and did beautiful jobs on every task. He had to stop working because of the Waldo Canyon Fire and stated concerns for our family and properties when we were all evacuated. He then returned to the jobs on both homes as soon as we were allowed to return to them. My kids and I had Steve around for nearly the whole major construction process, from April to September. He kept me sane.
