About us

Rocky Mountain High Builders inc. is a company formed from extremely experienced people that have been in this residential business for over 40 years. We are a locally assembled company in Colorado Springs. We have built over 300 homes in the community for other builders and now doing work for ourselves. By doing this we can offer more specialized services to our customers without the costly overhead that a home builder applies. We are a licensed and insured general contractor, which gives us the opportunity to take on from small jobs to large projects. Our normal procedure for billing is 25% down and weekly draws as the job progress. If a project is small than billing would be determined with the buyer before the project is started. We do use a standard easy to read contract which gives the buyer control of how the project will work.

I went with this company purely because they had a the lowest bid. The work was actually done in a timely fashion however the estimate was off so I ended up paying about a $1000 over the estimate. One piece of the project was to create entry holes for my septic tank but they didn't actually finish them. I had to have them come out when the Septic tank needed to be pumped in an emergency situation. They did come out but finished it in a hurry so it was not done evenly. In the end I was fairly happy with the project. Fast forward two year later and I'm starting to have problems with some warping on the composite wood. I've tried calling, emailing and texting Bob for the past 6 weeks and have not gotten one response. Part of the problem is the composite wood but some of the issues have to do with the construction. Some ends of the wood were cut too short so it doesn't even sit of the support beam. There is still time to redeem their reputation but they'd have to respond to me first.

They come in and look at it like a design build. They provide you a lot of different ideas. They research and provide you with options and ideas for how the job would be best. I found they did a sensational job at that. That is usually something that would cost quite a bit. They were just really nice guys, came in, gave you ideas, and ultimately did what you want them to do. I would highly recommend and am definitely going to use them again.
