Fogg’s gave me an estimate of $622.30 for the work. A few days later, I obtained the estimate from my insurance company. That estimate was $873.17, the maximum amount they were going to reimburse me (less my deductable) for the repairs. The insurance company adjuster told me to give their estimate to the repair facility I used so if they found additional damage when they began the work they could inform the insurance company. After the work was completed, Fogg’s bill came to $873.17, the EXACT amount of the insurance company estimate, rather than their original $622.30 estimate. When I questioned that amount, the woman told me their “policy” is to bill the insurance company estimate. I’ll bet that wouldn’t be their “policy” if the insurance company estimate was lower than their estimate! I told her I thought they should honor their estimate, not bill me more just because the insurance company estimate was higher. She then gave me some nonsense about their estimate not including removal of a reflector and the fuel filler door before painting. Besides, she said, their estimate was only a “guesstimate” and they can’t be held to it. What? They’ve been in business for a long time (35+ years) and the individual who wrote the estimate certainly knew the reflector and the fuel filler door would have to be removed for painting, and they’re certainly a lot better at estimating work then the word “guesstimate” suggests. The reflector and fuel filler door probably weren’t listed because the labor for removal and re-installation wasn’t worth capturing. Removal and re-installation of those two items didn‘t require $250 in labor. I feel Fogg’s took advantage of me. If I hadn’t handed them the insurance company estimate, the bill for the repairs would probably have been their original estimate. Because I contested the bill, the woman gave me a $155.00 discount. That was nice, but it shouldn’t have been necessary if they hadn’t taken advantage of me because the insurance company estimate was higher then their estimate. I would have rated them “A” on Price if they had stuck to their estimate and not inflated the price once they saw the insurance company estimate. Ditto for Professionalism. Taking advantage of a customer isn’t very professional.

Great, but took a very long time due to the project being a low priority restoration. Did most of work during slow or off season times.

Great, but took a very long time since it was not a priority work, got to it when he had slack time.

Fogg fixed the car up perfectly and worked with the insurance company to get everything taken care of. Car looks better now than when we first bought it used, and the paint is perfect.

Was very prompt in replacing the bumper and repair that needed done. Was pleased when I picked my car up as it was washed and cleaned on the inside. Very happy with the finished work. Compared cost and their cost was only 100 more then a price replacing with a used bumper.

John Fogg is the best shop that I have ever dealt with in 50 years of owning high end cars.

I had an appointment to bring my car in for body work on July 6th and was told it would take a minimum of 5 business days.  At the end of the first week I was informed they had to submit a supplement to my insurance company so they needed another week.

However, on the following Friday I called the body shop to see what was going on and was informed they had not heard back from my insurance company with an approval on the supplement.  When I called my insurance company they said they were waiting on pictures from the body shop of the area submitted in the supplement.

Therefore, nothing had been done to my car over the two week period.  It took a total of three weeks to get the car back.  The body work was fine but I do not think they handled the process professionally.

It took almost a month to get an appointment to get my vehicle into the shop.  My guess is the business' good reputation plays a role in keeping it busy.  It was not a big deal to me as my vehicle was drivable.  John Fogg inspected my vehicle before making the appointment.  He looked over the insurance documents I brought with me.  Mr. Fogg stated he thought my vehicle needed a new part where the insurance docs said the part just needed some repair.  I agreed with Mr. Fogg as the part had an obvious crack in it from the accident.  John said he would deal with the insurance company to get the new part.  My vehicle was at Fogg's Auto for two weeks (I had a rental during this time - paid for by the other person's insurance company).  It looked fantastic when I picked it up.  I have not had any issues in the one month I have had the vehicle in my possession.

I have a 2011 Honda Fit. My Fiance hit a pole when it was still snowy out. She had damaged the front bumper leaving a hole the size of a quarter, and bent a little bit of the fender. it didn't look to bad, so I lived with it. I slowly realized it made my semi new car, look like crap. So Foggs auto did all of the repair work at a fair price. John told me it would take a week, and it did. I like when businesses won't give you some lie to get your business. I also own a very highly rated service on Angie's List so I know what it takes. These guys are on top of it. my car looks great again..the staff up front was also very welcoming, and polite. Thanks again John Fogg!!!

The repair went great! Mr. Fogg was easy to work with, professional, and detail oriented in the completion of repairs. He communicated with me throughout the repair process keeping me updated on the progress.Since my car is vintage, there was not a paint formula for the color and Mr. Fogg worked diligently to exactly match the color. I give John Fogg and his company and A+ for excellent work and great communication skills.

My Fogg's experience has been the best I could have imagined. They repaired my 2014 Buick La Crosse. They had my car in the shop for a little over a week because my insurance company thought that my bumper didn't need to be replaced. John Fogg and Keith Barilli ensured them that just fixing it as cheaply as the insurance wanted was not the correct way to go especially for a new car that was not more than 2 months old. They finally agreed that it was not correct and forked out the money to get it fixed properly. The work that was done on my car was outstanding. If any of my vehicles ever need body work and paint done I will be taking them to Fogg's Auto. Great place great people. I will recommend this auto body shop for all cars and trucks to all my friends that are here in the Springs.

Incredibly responsive and genuinely concerned with helping me and doing the best job possible.  I had a hunting trip and was getting my truck ready to go when I noticed the door trim on my Duramax was starting to peel off in several spots.  I called Fogg's Auto based upon the recommendations I had read on Angie's list and am sure glad I did.  The owner, John Fogg, met me on short notice and quoted me an extremely fair price to do the required work.  John said if I could leave my truck overnight, he would squeeze it in and get it done before I left on my hunting trip.  What a relief.  I dropped the truck off with Keith at Fogg's Auto on Wednesday night and got a call on Thursday afternoon to come pick it up.  The truck looked like new again.  What great Americans!  Thanks to Keith and John my truck was ready to go and looked great.  Highly recommend them.

I have used John Fogg for several years and he has always done a great job. I brought the car in and John gave me a very fair estimate of the repair cost. We scheduled the service and I told him to go over the estimate if he needed to in order to get the job done right. He went a little over, but did a super job. No one does it better and he charges less than most other shops. The car is a 1999 Mercedes ML320 and it looks like new!

Fogg's was awesome.  He is not a big insurance company guy - he mainly works on Mercedes (or BMW's, can't remember which).  So he's more interested in doing the job right than pumping through the most volume of jobs he can handle.  Reasonably priced, great job, would highly recommend to someone NOT doing an insurance claim.

They are phenomenal. I had received (2) other quotes for the work, one from Red Nolan Collision at $1,971 and the other from Blosser's Collision Center was $1,550.They are highly ethical and professional. This is the place in Colorado Springs to bring your car.

The insurance company the other driver had was The General, which appears to be a company people use when they can't afford much.  The experience with them was pretty good, though, but did effect some issues throughout the process.  This is also why I don't know the total cost, since the $1800 I'd initially received was added to as more was found to be needed when the door was removed (the appraiser had told me he couldn't include what he couldn't see but knew there would be more required).
I called 2 companies from Angie's List, planning to call a 3rd after Fogg's.  The other 2 I'd had confidence in from their reputation and time in business plus their reviews.  I dug a bit more to find why I should go with one over the other and, when I heard Mr Fogg, his response convinced me.  I asked him to differentiate his company from the other two that I named.  He said that they were more volume-oriented while his shop was set up to take more care with each vehicle, which is why he's stayed in business for the past 35 years, weathering various economies.  Specializing in Porches, restorations, and the care that type of work takes, I knew I had a good place to use.
I ended up staying in fairly close touch with Mr Fogg throughout the process due to some troubles with the insurance process, the rental, and having my roommate going through complications after a hip surgery (hip went extremely well, tho).  Throughout, Mr Fogg's demeanor, professionalism, calmness, and standards of work and service were exemplary.
We were concerned that the truck could actually be repaired to where it had been since the open door was hit on its edge by a car, sliding on snow/ice, pushing it straight into the door frame.  It was sort of amazing since I was standing just inside the open door at the time and, somehow, didn't get hurt.
Once John looked at the truck door, he said he wouldn't have a problem fixing it but that it was good that I was using his shop, since it could be a bit tricky getting it right.  He sure got it done right - the door opens and closes as well as it did new or better.  The truck is white, which can be tough to match, but you can't tell the difference.
If all companies were to operate even half as well as John's, the world would be a pretty great place.
