I had a broken lavatory drain pipe.  Rick came and looked it over, then promised to come back the next afternoon.  I waited and he never showed.  I finally called and he explained he was working on an installation.  He agreed to come the next day.  I waited the next day and he didn't show.  I called and he said he got tied up checking for leaks in a system.  He promised to come by later that evening.  He didn't show.
Rick seems like a nice enough guy, but needs to know what he can reasonably promise.  Sometimes it's better to just say "no."
